Quite a lot actually when we are talking of young players still developing.

 

 

They're both quick players and being used in similar roles...mainly subs with the odd start. Strikes me Babel is doing better. Walcott just looks quick and considering he's playing with a side that should make his inclusion easier, for me, he lacks some basic skills. I'll concede he's younger, just not sure if that's going to make a difference in the long run.

Babel, but then you'd expect that as he's got a headstart on Walcott.

 

Babel has come from an Ajax team where he was playing pretty much every game, represented his country in the u21 tournament, and has played at full national level.

 

Walcott is younger, and hasn't had the experiences that Babel has had. He probably will do in the future.

neither are worth the money based on what we've seen so far

plenty of room & time for improvement though.

 

i think that's tough on Babel - £10m is now the going rate for a really promising quick young player IMO (see Young at Villa).
