Given that Crouch may be on his way in January and that money is supposed to be tight, what about taking Henrik Larsson for six months? He is currently the top scorer in the UEFA cup and he is now out of contract at his club. Could be a cheap option....

It didn't "effectively" say anything of the sort. It simply asked a question. Read it again. As for Larsson, he is 36 and in 13 appearances with Man Utd last year he scored three goals and made a few more. That's probably around the ratio Anelka had when he was with us. In any event, Anelka would cost 10 million and I'm talking about picking up someone cheaply, al a McCallister, Litmanen.... Spend ten million on Anelka and you can wave bye-bye to the centre-back that Rafa wants.
