Quite enjoyed listening to him last night, a refreshing change. I'm finding myself more and more listening to 5live.

that'd be kicked out of him before he was allowed to join the BBC's TV punditry team. The one key skill you seem to need for that job is talking about football as if you are having to explain to four year olds.

Yeah, you could just see the worried looks on Lineker/Lynam/etc/'s faces when someone (e.g. Martin O'Neill) actually started saying something non-obvious about the game. Probably find some programme director was shouting in his ear "shut that bloke up!!! The causual viewers are turning over to Who Wants To Be A millionaire!!!!"
