I've got the Sky Max broadband package with satellite (no other option where I live since Virgin said they could provide a service before realising they couldn't) and it's been nothing but sh*t.

 

The speed never exceeds 2m but even that would be acceptable if the connection was ever consistent- you can't get a decent connection in the evenings or weekends at all and even when on their POP server apparently has some difficulties so you can't send f*cking email.

 

I didn't have the time to f*ck around with their pointless call centres so after some e-mail dialogue where I got some of the most useless technical support ever I told them to cancel the service on the basis they were not providing what they were contracted to do.

 

The blith response back stated I could upgrade if I wished but could not downgrade in the first 12 months- no response at all to the technical issues or the fact that in my area indepedndent tests show the maximum speed cannot get anywhere near what I pay for/they sold.

 

What recourse and methods do I have to complain (ombudsmen/trading standards?), cancel (and get some recompense) and basically to just f*ck them off.
