with Lisbon

 

Sorry to hear of others holiday woes, but I've just returned from a fab time. A few days in Spain (despite the torrential rain one day ) - very nice food and relaxing on the beach. Then very painless overnight bus to Lisbon from Malaga.

 

Lisbon is like a grungier version of Paris. Cobbled stones, tiny fish restaurants, graffiti, wonderful vistas and people. We attended a wedding on saturday across from Lisbon. Beautiful church, wacky Irish priest, boring ceremony, millions of photos and the most beautiful/sexy people I have ever seen. My friend from uni was marrying a Portuguese/Cape Verden guy so most of his extended family attended - and oh wow - Hally Berry lookalikes to very sexy men and amazing dancers!

We stayed in a very nice pensao in a brilliant location - the downside was no lift - so up and down 100 steps each time you go out - add that to the hills and steps all over Lisbon and you've got ass muscles to die for

 

and very, very cheap
