can anyone explain this? Or have I missed something? why would a highly regarded manager, who has built sevilla into a great team, playing great footy, were in the title race and now in the CL go to Man City? I just cannot understand it.

His contract at Sevilla is up for renewal I think.

 

Far as I can see, he's not actively dispelling the City rumours to ensure He of The Nest gives him a good contract to stay at Sevilla. It's what I'd make sure he did if I was his agent.
