While buying lunch today I heard about new measures proposed by the CSA, they seemed a little vindictive to me

so I thought I would ask the question. Is the CSA fair ?

here's a quote from the BBC to kick things off

My husband has just received his new assessment for his previous son, but how fair is this when his previous Girlfriend doesn't work but her new husband does. And they take into consideration may wages (but not his), my childs, Child Benefit and if we claim working Tax Credit they take it as an income but if she claims it, it is taken as a Benefit. But they don't take into account my childcare costs to allow me to go to work. Where do fathers go!!

The CSA seems all for the mother and not for the father.

With today's announcement of changing the CSA and tagging the fathers and taking there passports, it seems to be getting worse. Maybe the government need to look into the way the maintenance payments are worked out and make it fair on both sides and maybe they would then not have a problem with fathers paying. We don't have a problem with paying, but she where's desginer clothes goes on holiday and we buy clothes from either the market or Asda and have never been on holiday in the 10 years that we have been together. She is quite capable of working but chooses not too as she is better off staying at home. So we are being penilised for working and even my son has to suffer.link
