French presidential election

BBC just did a very short piece on this and the reporter interviewed a female rep from LePen's party, I think. The reporter asked her about banning religious head gear etc and the difference between the christian and Jewish faiths and how people present those thro symbols - and her reply (while squirming) said something like '..well, uh, Christianity is the original religion of France and of Europe'

 

It'll be interesting who wins this. Sarkozy is a c/unt and Le Pen is so here's hoping for Segolene Royal
