jfogarty Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 http://www.stpatsfc.com/news.php?id=1415 Technical Director at St.Pats. Will be the manager soon and will have a massive budget. St.Pats were taken over by a tycoon yesterday and hes redeveloping the ground into a 12,000 seater stadium. Excellent news for one of the poorest areas in Dublin. Also building a local academy with astro pitches. St.Pats have the best first 11 in the league as it is and with a bit of investment they will dominate the league
dorgie Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I'm not so sure that this is such a good move for Pats, in the short term at least. Johnny McDonnell seemed to have got them on a sound footing on the pitch recently, but if he now feels his job is under threat, I can't see that being positive for the on-field set up there.

Johnny is still a bit naive tactically. I think Kerr will help him out and he also signed a new contract yesterday. Kerr has said he will be in the dressing room for some games so I guess that could be awkward but time will tell. Primarily Kerr is going to be looking after the youth set up and scouting network.

chrisbonnie Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 That true?If so its very funny. well, i dont mean they where gay lovers, but they where good mates, sure Wallace has done a s*** load of building in inchcore, you know that little italian restaurant beside the black lion, he owns all the building, along with "little italy" across the new bridge from temple bar towards jervis, there`s a few italian restaurants, clothes shop etc... he owns all of that, he supposed to be obsessed with italy, and italian football too he`s a nutter, he`s worth millions, yet still digs holes with the lads that work for him,
Maldini Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 He's involved with Wexford Youths, building a stadium for them.
jfogarty Posted March 15, 2007 Author Posted March 15, 2007 The guy that bought Pats is a proper tycoon. His name is Garrett Kelleher and owns Shelbourne Developments. His intentions are legit and its pretty much a deal to bring money back into the community. He identified Inchicore as an underprivieged area and has decided to pump millions into regenerating a poor area.Hes quite literally the knight in shining armor
