Football Manager thingy game

I was having problems connecting to the web, so restarted the PC. BigWayne is now upstairs with an almighty cob on, because his Football Manager thing wasn't saved. Is this bad? And was I wrong to mutter "It's only a game for f**ks sake"? He said something about three days worth of matches.
