This Barcelona side, despite them looking utterly clueless are probably the one side in the world who could put 3 or 4 goals past anyone, home or away. We still have a mountain to climb and if we go out to hold them at home it may backfire. At times they were breathtaking. They looked out of shape, imbalanced, lop-sided even, but on another night they're a couple of strokes from heavanly, with the same line up.

Rule them out at OUR peril.

I still have nightmares from when they tore us to pieces and won 3-1

That's a vivid memory of mine also, we simply couldn't get the ball, no matter how much we huffed and puffed.

Bit of a myth that one. We murdered them in the first-half, but Kluivert's equaliser on half-time seemed to stun us (last night ring any bells).

It was only really after Rochembach's goal that we lost shape looking for the equaliser.

The rest is history, but by f*** that 3rd goal was good and sort of created the myth.

Maybe it was a myth but it was and is a walloping in my head. Nothing to suggest this set couldn't tdo the same. The only thing is that I think we'd score off a set-piece if need be.

Do you remember that other Spanish team who played of the park? Valencia

Now, who was in charge of them?

Aye, the worry would be if we sit deeper and deeper.

We need to attack them (as well as defending...)

Not if Gerrard takes them. ;)

Far from over this is, but if we are sensible we should be ok (if the ref. isn't as bad as last nights air-stealer).

A "mountain to climb". Good grief, and you talk about other people needing perspective. We're favourites, and we've put ourselves in the position where we should now win the tie. Sure, Barcelona are by no means out of it, but going out to hold them at home is exactly what we need to do.

A very big mountain to climb. This crowd are that good and last's nights achievement is that huge.

barca play with such snail slow pace in their build up. they always do. they hav no plan B.

it s totally different with rafa the master tactician.

we can contain, we can counter attack, we can play high tempo, we can press the whole 45min & we can also overhoof..:)

they must score twice so they have to come at us. we could play a similar game to last night. contain them, hustle them in posession and hit them on the counter attack.

We don't have a mountain to climb. We've reached second camp on the North Col and now need courage and dedication to reach the summit. Once there, I expect us to enjoy a delicious packed lunch with a flask of hot tea, take a few photos and be back in time for Songs of Praise and Antique's Roadshow. Marvellous.

We didnt touch the ball hardly in the last 20. We missed some good chances in the 1st half if I recall correctly.

Heskey was it? sorry Kev ;)
