Famous riffs that are rip offs

I was yesterday driving in my car and a song came on that sounded very much like Come As You Are by Nirvana. I was never a Nirvana fan (always thought they were overrated) but I always thought that Come As You Are had a decent riff. Anyway the song ends and the DJ comes on saying that it was a song released in the 80s by Killing Joke and that Nirvana in fact had "borrowed" the riff, altered it slightly and came up with Come As You Are.
