This will make Mike/NHE/Skippy happy. ESPN2 has dumped us from the live match for the Barcelona game.

 

Up to last week, we were the main game on ESPN2 on most schedules. We have been bumped to ESPN Deportes and ESPN Classic. :o

the coverage on setanta is superb....i insist you all get a dish, its only gonna get better next season...

 

can you have a word with my wife about the dish? :hmm:

Games are shown as follows (normally)

 

 

 

League ? split between Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta.

 

Both on Dish and Directv (Satellite). You?d have to get the package with them on.

 

I get Fox on Cable ? pay $7 a month extra for a set of sports channels including it.

I get setanta via Broadband cable link and a box that connect to the tv. $15 a month I think it is ? ITVN is the company that does the box.

 

I think I?ve seen every game this season on one or the other.

 

F A Cup ? first choice to PPV on Saturday and Sunday. Then to FOX. Could be set up slightly different this year but for some reason I have no interest.

 

League cup ? Setanta.

 

CL. first choice ESPN2 then Setanta. If you can?t get the game live then you can normally see it on delay immediately after the live game.

 

If you get fox soccer channel then you?ll probably find your set up includes ESPN. Add setanta via satellite or via ITVN and you will get most of or games.

 

Pretty much every game involving us, the mancs, arsenal and Chelsea are shown as they attract the most viewers.

Only thing about Setanta I don't love is the picture quality isn't as good as on ESPN the Ocho!

 

but I do love the amount of games avail with setanta and FSC

OK guys what do I need to make sure I can get Liverpool games when in the USA ?

DISH Network ? ( the US equiv to SKY )

does DISH have Setanta ? ?

Not sure that Dish does, DirectTV does. Not sure if they are the same company. As explained before, MOST Liverpool matches are on Setanta and the video rights have been given to them. If you are a customer of Time Warner & Co. You have either Fox Soccer Channel (US) or Fox Sports World (Canada). FSC shows a lot of matches but not all of them, they advertise Setanta periodically because they are now unofficial partners in airing football. TV rights have been split down the middle with FSC and now, Setanta.

Ok,now i have cablevision-Optimun.I can get this box thingy for 15 a month and it will work?

I've been watching all the games on computer- it's tedious.Seems that fox over here has something against LFC....or Setanta are huge supporters.

It's not that they are supporters, it's a matter of partnership to gain profits. If both stations can increase profit by airing high profile matches, it's a win-win situation. Setanta have the television rights for most Liverpool matches at home and most away. Occasionally, Fox Soccer Channel will air matches away from home, but it's rare. As for your service provider, you're better off asking them. The most likely question is 'what is your sport package do you offer and does it include Setanta Sports an/or Fox Soccer Channel?'

If you have cable TV and your provider offers a digital package, see if they do a Latino tier of digital programmes.

 

I have Cox Communications and their Latino package offers ESPN Deportes, Fox Soccer en Espanol and Gol TV. That is in addition to the other Hispanic channels that show loads of footy and regular Hispanic programmes.

It's not TSN now in Canada... just French TV or pay-per-view which could also be in French. Stevie H - fancy a trip over for next week? ;)

 

Yer Canajun now arn'cha? French shouldn't be a problem.

 

And think of the advantages, no Tommy "Bag of the Old Onio Bag" Smyth. Well not quite, TSN has kindly offered to show the match at 3:30am.

what channels are the liverpool game on over here? (ireland) I have sky sports 1 2 3 ... what game they showing on rte? god if i come home from work and its not on any of them i'll cancel my cable.

I've got Setanta so i'll get to see it here in the USA.

 

Setanta broadband is shown on the alternate Setanta channel on Directv.. :P
