Beaten Embarrased by a s*** arsenal side. Players look like they dont care. Some players just not good enough.

 

s*** is all i can think of.

 

The team rafa put out today should have been enough to easilly beat arsenal.

Nah we've played worse. Burnley, Crystal Palace away a few years ago, the Souness years.

 

We defended very badly but I think the lack of a holding midfielder to protect the back 4 also cost us.

Arsenal took one look at our back 4 and rubbed their hands with glee. Aladiere played very well, as did Fabregas who is a very good player, and as with Saturday, they took all their chances.

 

We played football and didn't revert to Huthing it as a plan B. We didn't try kicking them off the pitch and we gave them a scare (of sorts) late on.

 

Dudeks first half put them in the box seat and filled them with confidence. Our back 4 didn't help the Dudek.

Rafa has mentioned that not too long ago. This isn't an Arsenal side brought through the youth ranks like bloody Radio5 were saying befroe hand. There is some serious money spent on those, Arsene type players

We have had many, many worse results. FA Cup defeats at home under Souness, League Cup at home with GH.

 

This was a freak game which we underperformed. It is no way one of our worst games. Not good but bad defences made it a spectacle.....

You can hardly compare the youngsters though - Arsenal have been scouring the globe for the past 7 years for talent like that. At the end of the day it was a scratch team so I wouldn't get too carried away. If we'd played our strongest team and got tonked by their strongest team I'd be bothered. I'm fairly sure we actually had more attempts on target than them, strangely enough. I'm more bothered about 3 points against Watford at the weekend to keep Arsenal where they are - behind us

Spot on. We cared. But we were outplayed. It was obvious that the passing skills the Arsenal players posess is far beyond many of our players. Plus some serious s*** defending. But to say we didn't care is unfair. Arsenal is a better footballing side then Liverpool FC at the moment, simple as that.

Nope I think it was a typical type of performance.We certainly conceded a lot more than we usually would on the end of a proper trouncing.

Guthrie did ok. Nothing spectacular but worked hard and didn't mess up. He just wasn't very effective but then he was out of position.
