Is the remainder of the season going to be the complete opposite of the start of the season ?

Great at home (because we played no-one good - until now)

Crap away (because we played all the good teams)

Now all the good teams have to come to Anfield and we have to go away to all the crap teams.

So, will we now start to lose a few more at Anfield yet win quite a few on our travels ?

My knee awaits your wisdom ;)

If one thing, this should serve as a reminder to people how much we struggle against the top teams. Loads of people coming up with scenario's lately about us taking points of the other big 3 in the league this season at home. Highly unlikely as per.

Well, I'm very surprised at the lack of response........or have I got something right ?

Absolute tosh.

Don't forget we outplayed the Gooners in large parts of the game and wouldn't have lost (in my opinion) if Pep was in goal.

Probably would have created a lot more if Bellamy was playing as well.

Could have even sneaked a replay if Carra didn't do a Djimi.

FACT!!! ;)

Perhaps, just perhaps he is not psychic.

We had most of the possesion, most of the game and had them pinned back in the second half for about 40 of the 45 minutes. What we lacked was primarily a sharper cutting edge - the speed of Bellamy getting behind Eboue et al and turning their defence may have provided this.

Two defensive errors in the first half and one in the second (though credit to Henry, he had a lot to do) gifted them their goals. Even so, had Aurelio's volley gone in instead of just wide then at 2-2 it would have been a different story, had Pennant not resorted to his floated rather than driven balls in to the box - same thing, it would likely have given us more of a shout.

Any other day that game would have had 'draw' written all over it - 1-3 did not reflect the game as it happened.

belated knee-jerk

Why were the defence s*** scared of Henry? - they stood back and let him dance across the area - if it had been anyone else they'd have tackled him.

Dudek should never have played - he should never play for the 1st team again.

Did Pennant play? You never dribble a ball out of your own defence.

So much for Gerrard being better in the centre of the pitch.

Rise has been bad all this season - but he was terrible on Saturday.

Kuyt works his b******s off and is a fantastic player but he's a striker - how many goals is he going to score if he's on the right hand side touchline doing Pennant's job?

End of useless tirade.

Arsenal did what Chelsea and the Mancs will do - soak up all our pressure and then hit us on the counter.

If it's about MM - I empathise he was reputedly a very warm and friendly, encouraging guy off screen unlike the 'stern' mastermind persona. One of those people you'd put on your dinner list.
