Jezzman Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 ... when finally we get the investment secured? Or will it be the same arl sh ite as previous years, just with more expensive players? What do you reckon?
Herbie von Smalls Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 worse. every internationally-recognised player will be a 'target'. i'm dreading january in this particular forum already.
Tosh Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 It might put an end to the "Sack Parry"'s as he clearly never found enough money for us to have the latter silly season threads in the past Now, i fear, silly season will be even sillier. For which I may just have to suggest the termination of someone's contract of employment.
Guest RedIsMyColour Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 (edited) The same process will continue. The club doesn't want to portray itself as a figure that will pay over the odds for players. Negotiations will still be prolonged because of our 'tight as a ducks a***' policy. Otocon Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 worse. every internationally-recognised player will be a 'target'. i'm dreading january in this particular forum already. We could even hire Roman from Chelsea to clean the boots.
Tosh Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 We could even hire Roman from Chelsea to clean the boots. He's not fit to clean Gerrard's boots
Otocon Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 He's not fit to clean Gerrard's boots Why? Did he lunch in a sushi bar with Putin or something?
Jezzman Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 Silly season would be loads of fun if we had green glowing players and Putin as head of marketing....
Benitez Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 ... when finally we get the investment secured? Or will it be the same arl sh ite as previous years, just with more expensive players? What do you reckon? It'll be fun for the kids who love to do team formations and draw up daft lists of superstar players that we *must* sign. It'll be a living hell for the rest of us
Liverbobs Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 The same process will continue. The club doesn't want to portray itself as a figure that will pay over the odds for players. Negotiations will still be prolonged because of our 'tight as a ducks a***' policy. But we might actually end up buying somebody decent!!!
crisps Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 (edited) It'll just be like Newcastle's now ...but we might actually land a BiG NaMe Edited December 8, 2006 by mikeyj
