had a piece published in the Spanish daily "El Pais" titled: La 'Rafalution', estancada

The "Rafalution" is mired

Basically stated that the fans have started to lose faith in Benítez. That his credit has been spent and that LFC are playing poorly because benítez hasn't got the tactical nouse to make it in the PL.

Dismisses the CL and FA cup wins as flukes - won inspite of Benítez.

Another so-called 'football expert' in my black book.

Not having the tactical nouse to make it in the Prem, that's laugh out loud funny.

Yet he has the tactical nouse to make it in the Primera.

Rafa's 'problem' is that he has too much of it sometimes for the Premiership

Anyway, who the fec is John Carlin, he aint very spanish sounding, he needs to stop spreading nasty gutter press stories into the Spanish media. I thought they'd have more sense over there.

The Spanish press are just as capable of writing s***.

John Carlin has never been an expert on anything other than brownnosing Real Madrid.

Most of what he writes is so far up the galactico's backsides as to be creepy. And it woudn't surprise me if his mates in Madrid have asked him to do what he can to destabilise Gerrard.

"Hey carra! Have you seen what they write in yesterday's El Pais about Rafa?"

"You mean that article "La Rafalution?"

"That's the one. To be honest, I found it a bit disconcerting. I hadn't really thought about Rafa's reign like that before and it just has me wondering a bit."

"What are you saying, Stevie?"

" ...."

he also writes his Madrid crap in The Observer.

another reason why I stopped reading that paper

Apart from OSM, I think he hasn't for a while.

Normally Observer foreign footy correspondents are poached on more money, but he's too crap. A really very poor writer who gets gigs on the strength of his contacts book.

Getting very annoyed by the number of sources who are claiming we the fans are losing faith in Benitez. I don't know anyone who is. All I've heard is the chants of "Rafa, Rafael" get louder through the adversity in recent home games

The press are f***in' determined, so they are.

Andy Gray parrotting on with his "Gerrards CLEARLY not happy" s****. He was doing the same about Cisse last season, who for all his many faults, never once complained about playign wide, yet Gray is going on with "that right side that he HATES so much". That, zonal marking, rotation - they're continuously lookign for sticks to beat us with.

f*** them. Rafa's great.

I remember that he was interviewed about "White Angels" on the off the ball show newstalk 106FM when it was published. It was at the height of the galactico era and he was saying that they had reinvented the football club model. We can see now how wrong he was.

On a side note, I once gave his book title to someone to act out in a game of charades.
