I agree, what a pointless stat. All time appearance records are OK, but appearance records begining from an arbitary point in time is less than meaninglesss

Mmmm, Yesterday was Carra's 428 overall appearance for Liverpool. Almost half way to Callaghan's 857 appearances

 

Callaghan also holds the record for most League appearances at 640

 

Carra is getting close to Callaghan's European Record of 89 appearances. He's currently on 81

Stevie is two and half years younger than Jamie and I'm fairly confident he'll play more games for the club than Jamie C over the next few years.

It will be interesting to see where they end up in the All Time Stats. Regardless, they are Both Legends and I hope they add that missing piece of Silverware to their collection
