I know Moslems fast during daylight hours but didn't realise they can't take on liquid either which causes a huge problem when you're dealing with adolescents. The committe at our club have enforced a rule under child protection which states that unless the lads parent signs a disclaimer i.e. that in a case of extreme dehydration we have the right to give their son water then they can't train or play. In the case of any Moslem child under 13 they can't play or train at all, end of.

This had never crossed my mind before and begs the question what do the pro's in the hot Moslem countries do. Presumably most clubs haven't got floodlights so does the league shut down for a month or what? You certainly can't play 90 minutes in say Saudi Arabis or Senegal without taking on water.
