this week i ar bin mostly shooting...

rifles and a shotgun on my da-in-law's farm in new south wales.

 

i've fired:

 

a .22 - which felt like a glorified air rifle

a .310 bsa rifle - blew right through the (empty) kennel, upon which the paper target was nailed

a 12-gauge shotgun - didn't get the technique right with my first shot and nearly bust my nose with the recoil

a .303 lee enfield rifle - hitting a small metal drum from 150 yards away twice

 

quite an exhilarating experience. adrenalin a-go-go. don't fancy the idea of hitting 'live' targets though - shooting creatures for sport is cowardly.
