Sure they don't mean www.liverpoolfc.tv aka as the official website? So far as the position of the club is/was concerned re the AGM's etc, a TV station as such at this point is not a financially vialble option due to the Sky and ITV deals for domestic and European competions.

It's on every week for 3 hours I believe, Arsenal have one too.

What's that Phil? A US based thing?

For the past few years Liverpool (well TWI) have produced a show that is sold to any country that wants it, I havent worked out why you can't get it in the UK, even by streaming.

It'll be to do with the premiership collective deal with Sky. If we had our own station on cable/digital we could show it on that but given the losses Manc and Chesea TV operate under, it wouldn't be a wise move at this time.

Are you sure it isn't because the club always look after OOT fans before their own...he says trying to start another forum war!!!!

Ah, would that it were, would that it were!

Nah - we would need a dedictaed channel in the UK to show stuff the way the Chavs and mancs do and they run at such a loss it's daft really.

Unless one day the premiership gives up it's collective agreement for bidding rights etc, then we won't go down the TV channel route, but will take advantage of the change due in a couple of years re the rules and deals about streaming etc.

I just finished watching today's edition. It included highlights from the last Haifa game and the full Westham game. It's a breath of fresh air after Setanta and Fox Soccer conspired to make us miss out on the best games of the week. Liverpool TV will be on every Tuesday around 4PM EST.

2006-2007 UEFA Champions League

Updated August 29, 2006

ESPN International holds exclusive pay video rights throughout the Americas, in all languages across all pay video distribution platforms (pay TV, broadband Internet, and mobile devices), to the UEFA Champions League from Match Day 1 through the Final, for the 2006-2007 through the 2008-2009 seasons, for a period of 24 hours after kickoff of each match, via an agreement with Swiss sports marketing agency TEAM Marketing AG.

In the US, ESPN2 is required to air at least 13 matches live each season, with first pick of live match telecasts on each match day. ESPN360.com will simulcast each ESPN2 live telecast via broadband Internet.

ESPN International has sublicensed the second pick of live match telecasts in the US on each match day to Setanta Sports North America. Setanta Sports USA and Setanta Broadband will air the second choice live match.

ESPN Deportes will air 77 matches each season in the US in Spanish, with up to 25 matches live. ESPN Deportes will have the third pick of live match telecasts. ESPN360.com will simulcast each ESPN Deportes live telecast via broadband Internet.

Setanta Premium will offer matches involving Celtic of Scotland, plus matches involving Portuguese and Greek clubs, via closed-circuit TV to commercial establishments in the US and Canada if ESPN2 does not pick one of those matches for live broadcast.

In Canada, TSN (English) and RDS (French) will each air at least 25 matches, while TLN (Italian) will air all matches involving Italian teams plus the final.

After the exclusive 24-hour window has expired, each team is allowed by UEFA to distribute its UEFA Champions League matches on its own team-branded TV and broadband video networks to viewers worldwide.

couple of mates work on this.. they said when McCaffrey first come in he looked at the scripts for the show and said "just give me the headlines of what you want to talk about" so they did.. said he did well making the show up as he went along.. he's done it a few times now - last i heard (which is admittedly a while ago) - he wasn't getting the job permanently but they did like him there.. said he's a good lad.. it's recorded in some place in Preston (can't remember the name)..

he has a face somewhere between a plastic action man and Tommy Cooper. Can't say I'm a fan.

No s***. Really pisses me off when they do that whole "After the break we'll hear from xxxxxx" and then all you get is the PeoplePC.com commercial in Spanish (that is kinda trippy to listen to tho), then straight back to the presenter with no sight nor sign of the promised interview. I wanted Liverpool TV to be more about the club itself rather than concentrating purely on that week's game. I wanted behind the scenes stuff, match buildup, hear from fans arriving AND leaving the games etc. Some atmosphere, you know? Don't get me wrong, I *love* the footy but now being an OOTer I really miss the buildup to the games. Sitting on the couch, drinking Carlsberg, signing FOAR, by myself is quite sad :)

Goltv show it's a 3 hour show YET for two weeks now they only show 2.5 hrs of it.

They only showed hilights of both Haifa games and the full prem games against Sheff Utd and West Ham.

They edited the show by not showing a RAFA interview and Kuyt pc.

Yesterday they cut off a Reina interview and Kuyt interview.

I had written to complain and received this:

Thank you for your interest in GOLTV. We receive most of our programming from the GOLTV US feed. I have passed your email along to the programming department at GOLTV US.

Thanks, Miranda Jenkins
