After watching him yesterday it is clear that the man has a lot of talent that in the past 5 years has not been seen. He was all over the place yesterday, getting stuck in and giving off some good balls. He could play a bigger part this season than many of us would have expected. He seems to be a very sensible and mature player.

He was Boro's player of the year from central mid. Dont think it'll surprise anyone regarding him playing well there to be honest. He is cack at left wing though.

He seemed to be picking his passes better yesterday. That was one thing that used to drive me crazy about him, he always seemed to pick the wrong pass.

He and Momo really got about Lampard and Ballack, didn't give them a chance to settle.

 

Needs to work on his shooting though.

With one more quality striker (Assuming Rafa doesn't fancy some of the fringe players) we should be covered for most things..?

He looked lost and didn't know what to do with the ball. It was a new experience for him at Liverpool and for the experiment to work he will need to have a few more run-outs in that line-up. Overall it was a workman-like performance, nothing more than that.
