In-laws and computers

I need to kill them. I?ve tried so many times to help them to use computers and its just not working. Just simple bloody stuff and they can?t retain it. like how to send pictures in an email ? nope not a chance ? still haven?t got ONE! How to fix your pc (try turning the bloody thing on!!). how to buy things on the internet and send them to the USA ? or better still buy things in the USA to send to us ? its much easier like that.

I had to write down instructions on how to use ryan air so that they could book cheap flights to Denmark ? that they actually managed!! They can?t even comprehend that if they need to send something to the states then they need to do it about 2 weeks ahead of time so that arrives here ? the number of presents that turn up a week after the kids birthdays is unbelievable.

This week took the biscuit ? they couldn?t make up their mind what to buy me for my birthday ? so they settled on a gift certificate. Firstly they sent it a day after my birthday, then they sent it to a email address that changed FIVE years ago then finally to cap it all they bought me an amazon gift certificate.

Now I had a lot of problems with amazon last year and avoid them whenever I can ? they know this. I also maintain an amazon wish list ? just to make life easier for anyone from abroad who does want to get me something. But they ignore all of that and buy me a 35 QUID GIFT CERTIFICATE FOR AMAZON.CO.UK THAT CAN?T BE USED ON AMAZON.COM.

And then get the hump when I didn?t say thanks ?THAT WAS BECAUSE YOU SENT IT TO A DEFUNCT EMAIL ADDRESS YOU DOZY OLD b******s. I DIDN?T f***ING GET IT. AND EVEN WHEN I DID I CANT USE IT BECAUSE OF THE SHIPPING CHARGES.

I f***in despair.

Oh well ? looks like I?ll have to use it to buy the MIL her birthday present. Which is a nice present for me.

Oh yeah ? and then the MIL announces that she?ll be visiting. In November. When it?ll be too f***ing cold to take the old bat out anywhere so we?ll be stuck with her indoors for two weeks and hearing about her complain how cold it is when we make her go outside to smoke. And she?ll turn up with a load of clothes for the kids that won?t fit because she wont have seen them for over a year and she?ll get all the wrong sizes. Instead of bringing over things that we can?t get in the states she?ll be getting summer dresses for my youngest that cost twice as much as here and don?t f***ing fit.

Here?s an idea love ? f***ing listen to us.

Anyone got a place I can kip for 2 weeks in November. I just hope its not late November when I have a few days off for thanksgiving. I need to be at work when she?s here..
