    Thing is though 45pts from 20 games is 2.25pts/game. Since then we've gained 35pts from 16 games, which is still around 2.2pts/game. We've continued at a similar level, with our ups and down, conceding silly points 'n all. The Mancs however have gone on a ridiculous run of wins. The spawny b******s.

    This is nonsense. If Barcelona were in the Premiership they would quit clearly finish just above the relegation dogfight. In case anyone isn't quite clear - I don't really mean the above.

    I'd agree with that. Whilst he shows a lot of promise he hasn't really done anything to deserve all the hype yet. A hat-trick for England doesn't mean you've made it. He's still very young though, but that excuse will begin to fade if he doesn't kick on a bit in the next couple of years.

    The way Chelsea have acted has been nothing short of a disgrace. It's one thing your players acting like t***s in the heat of the moment, but for your manager and team captain to defend that behaviour afterwards is shameful. Let's hope UEFA decide to really teach Drogba/Ballack/etc a lesson.

    Just seen it; freeze-framed it. Seemed onside to me - Benayon looked like he was half a foot ahead of the defender but half a foot behind the ball.

    Christ, we had 27 shots at goal, 11 on target. Newcastle had one shot, none on target. That's an embarassing effort by a team fighting to avoid relegation. Shame. :-)
