lets have a sense of perspective here....

i haven't seen much along those lines today except the usually rooney historonics(sp),he should have a yellow to his name at least other than that the ref has been fairly solid .....so far -

mancs 1-0,more intensity in rooneys big toe than in most of our team.the reason why they will win the title is they dont knock and knock on a door to try to get in they break the thing down,we give it a few taps and say we tried and it was tough...and we could have lost so a draw isn't too bad so on and so forth..... -
i think its movement in a bathroom sense

lucas had more positive involvement than most,it was very tough out there to pick a defence splitting pass when there is one guy amongst 6+,he isn't alonso but he tried to keep things ticking over but there was f all for him to hit with a pass except when he laid it back. kuyt on his own wasn't working,he couldn't win much in the air and certainly couldn't get to a ball over the top, gerrard was marked out of the game until maybe 15mins at the end.we badly needed the fullbacks over lapping as much as possible but aside from the odd carra run we got s*** especially from the left side.babel did produce something near the end from which gerrard hit the bar but lets be realistic their keeper had f*** all to do during that game,so you have to ask yourself why? on the plus side torres came through and should be starting soon enough.
-
i see,so you think playing kuyt up front is because he's the form striker at the club right now?
-
the prick just clattered into him and walked away not as much as a dirty look did he get from the ref the fat f*****.sloppy first half nothing up front so far need to move the ball faster and keep it on the ground, they are very tight on gerrard and reira, gerrard hasn't had a sniff so far.aurelio and carra need to get up the sides to create something in stokes box.all they have is a f***ing hoof into our box and hope for a knock down/mistake,even still they look more dangerous than we do so far.
-
i think every prem game we play between now and the end of the season is the most important game of the season.once this game is done then the next will be the most important until its over.united are gaining momentum, hopefully a draw with chelsea with us winning would give us a sniff of breathing space which im sure we will need,we can then go to united and still be on top no matter what th result then there is nothing united can do to stop us,its all on us from there on in.
-
i just have the feeling that the horse has bolted with xabi and he'll be lookin to leave in the summer.his head seems to be been turned by juve and i suppose with the club wanting to get rid it has given him a different view of things.on the plus side though he had plateaued last season and season before and with the threat of being sold he has gotten the kick up the a*** he needed and has be magnificent so far this season.
-
sell pennant, degen and dossena buy even one player of quality,a right winger preferably, having torres, keane kuyt and ngog even babel could do a job up front if we need,i would actually stick him in ahead of ngog.we really are very lite on the right though,i suppose at a push carra can go right back if we lose arby and have still a choice of 3 centerbacks, aurelio an insua at left back is a little light because of aurelio's continued injury problems.so yeah i would defo go with a right winger/fullback
-
fair enough but how long was he at the club?i cant remember off the top of my head but im sure it was long enough to show what he was about and i personally dont think he showed much at all.he left his mark in istanbul and then left which was a great way to go.
-
well tbh i can think of only two moments of importance in terms of goals thats valdi had,the champs final obviously and that late goal against chelsea, other than that i never felt he as up to much.i just cant see that similarity with garcia at all.garcai almost always came up with the goods especially in big games and for a little man he had a big heart and i cant remember him pulling out of any challenges, vladi on the other hand rarely came up with anything when it really mattered aside from the two goals i just mentioned.i'd love to see garcia on the right with his ability to spot a pass and deliver with torres up front and gerrard in the mid.
-
garcia was twice the player smicer or benni ever will be.sure he could be very frustrating during a lot of games but it was something i was willing to put up with as i waited for the few moments of genius he would come up with that could tear any defence in 2.couple garcia with gerrard and torres would be a beautiful thing and something we could really use against those teams that are very tough to break down at Anfield.

the thing is we are an easy target for sky in comparison to chelsea or utd because they have won the title recently and we haven't and as a result its hard to find fault in teams that are winning leagues.when we win it this year we will get more ...leeway,but until we do we will get the inevitable fault finding exam after every game.
-
yeah but thats only till his next bad game or f*** up
-
great display in that half, should be at least 4up no question but we've been undone alittle by a sloppy piece of defending,if we continue playing like that in second we will wipe the f'ing floor with them goal wise as well as football wise.
-
keane alonso hyypia
-
just what the doctor ordered that, totally dominated and keane seems to be finally finding some goalscoring form.cant complain about anything in that game, bolton sat back and took it up the a*** and its about time we handed out a beating to dross who come to sit with 10 behind the ball and try to counter attack.
-
i believe that babel will be a fantastic player for us in the future,he has lost his way and seems very low on confidence, but things change and its things like this that help build character.he needs to come through this and i think rafa will get him through and when he finally rebuilds his confidence and believes in himself we might just have the player that most people thought we would have when he signed.
-
lucas did well today, was available and tidy in possession, didn't work any miracles like but lets give him his due.there were others today that were worse.he gave away some niggly fouls but other than that he didnt do much wrong.

This wave of negatvitiy that surrounds football at the moment...
Farmer's Tan replied to alias75's topic in Liverpool FC
i dont think its rocket science, todays game is a perfect example.some people feel that when arsenal went down to 10 men we should have took off a midfielder and bought on another striker and try to win the game others think that what we did was right and if we had made that sub (alittle earlier than 88mins) we could have been caught on the break and lost.i dont think there is too much wrong with that, the only real problem is when people blow it out of proportion. -
well tbh i would be pissed but i cant see myself saying we should not have tried to push on and go for the win.why bring on ngog with 2mins.like for like subs the very same as most other games we play.you would think these subs are planned at the start of the season with the regularity of who is subbed.
-
i see,so you think they would sit back and take a point when in the same position (like they usually do against all opposition).you must have seen a different manu u of chelsea than the rest of us then.
-
true but do you not think that when we have an opportunity like today against 10 men we should be more aggressive instead of following the standard pattern of subs and tactics no matter what position we are in.a draw isn't a bad result at the a*** but its painful when we just settle for the draw.
-
the truth is benitez was and is delighted with a point away from home at any of the big 3 and even aston villa,if he had any inclination of going to win we would have brought on an extra attacker alot earlier than 88mins ffs.... way to go out on a limb and take a risk...... lets be realistic if chelsea or manu u were in the same position as we were today they would have gone for the throat we on the other hand sit back and play out a f***ing draw.
