Match Topic Arsenal vs Liverpool - Premier League, 27th October @ 4.30pm
Redray replied to ynwa.tv 's topic in Liverpool FC
Really expected us to be better. We were so poor. s*** the bed just like last season there. Slot will sort it. Arsenal are embarrassing. Football of 20 years ago, Mourinho style, but without the silverware. They won't get anywhere. We will. -

Watching Arsenal. Like Mourinho 2005. Backwards football. -

Ignoring their 10 man performance against City, I would argue Arsenal cheat generally under Arteta. It's very 'Mourinho footballesque' and not what football is about I would say. But we obviously all have our own definitions of what is tantamount to cheating. -

Very silly question. Did Mourinho cheat? -

But they very nearly didn't win at all. At home against a side that hasn't won yet. And we are above them, without cheating. -

Did we miss the gamesmanship, goals mainly bundled in from set pieces and a manager resembling Mourinho mark 2 then? -
He was laughing at the refs decision to call it a handball.

He really is impressive isn't he? Not afraid to say it as it is. He won't carry any passengers. -

Thanks mate. Means a lot coming from you.

Ha! My reply was for you big G You are a hero. No chances to become one needed. You are already there. A level above. Always get your round in too, never shy away. Definitely not for the forum.
-
You can interpret it any way you want and make it solely about a leaving manager if you feel it is appropriate in your head. My only concern is the club moving forward.
-
I think we supporters need to have scapegoats when when the side are not doing well. Results dictate perceptions. Have a look at this thread when we were doing better earlier this year. You'd think Messi was playing for us. He was also basically unplayable and causing chaos for sides. Why would you not want that for Liverpool. Crazy. Its not unreasonable to want to see him under a manager that wants to manage us. If he still cannot cut it then move him on.
-
What has the team done in the last two years? We've been in form have we for that period? He's a confidence player. Really unfair and unreasonable to judge him alone under a manager who has been trying to get away for that period of time and when the side has overwhelmingly been s***e.
-
Agreed he's very hot and cold but the judgements that he is not good enough are just insane. … all confidence and momentum. You don’t want to get in his way when he’s in form… his physical attributes are unmatched he just needs to calm down in front of goal. He's got everything in his locker to become a legend here.
-
I dunno. What do we mean by mentality? I would argue he cares too much. We already know Klopp has been brilliant but we know what happens to our managers. He is is burnt out and said himself its in the interests of the club, he goes. I would like to see him under a new coach with new ideas. I think he is a diamond.
-
What is even more weird is not wanting to see what he would be like under a new energetic manager and just dismissing him as s***e. We have seen what he can do.

f***ing hell this season end is really dragging.

Fewer injuries you say. The demanding attention to detail is a theme. For example, Slot has concluded that in training sessions for the days immediately after games the players should work in a space no longer than 40 metres. If they play in bigger areas it means they have to accelerate more and sports medical science has proved that running above 20kmph risks more muscle injuries. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/04/23/liverpool-arne-slot-guardiola-disciple-coaches-arteta/#:~:text=The demanding attention, more muscle injuries
