Stick it into perspective, our “ virtually same” side has played more than 800 minutes more than Newcastle to date.
Them not being involved with Europe eventually caught up with us yesterday.
I’m not using that as an excuse, because there were bigger issues than that, but that shows you quite starkly, how our lads have had to go to the well, time and time again.
He hasn’t been helped by the fact, that when he does do something and contributes, he’s benched again for the next game.
I’m not backing him here, but I don’t think he’s been given a run of games this season to help him on his up curves.
