  1. and ignore the fact I said block 201, should be 202 Also thinking about it the lower blocks are slightly larger than the upper blocks so rows 1-36ish will be blocks 102-108 and 37-60 blocks 202-208. And no one cares about 304-306. 109 is for locals only ...
  2. Row 60 is the last row on Blocks 201-208, so row 31 should logically be the first row of those blocks. If you're in row 37/205 it's a superb seat.
  3. It was my equivalent of drawing a cartoon of Mohammed
  4. He stayed on his line because he was expecting the ball to be headed towards the goal and he'd have to make the save - he can't be in two places at once.
  5. he didn't, it was a straight red. He has also added a separate yellow fo rthe first challenge. You can't appeal against a red given for two yellows, but you can appeal a straight red. The BBC have got it wrong.
  6. just typically sloppy BBC website journalism
  7. Fowler, Crouch, Cisse, Morientes, Traore, Warnock
  8. If we put Riise up for sale there'd be a stampede for his services. He is simply the best left back we have by a country mile and on form this season the best in the league. Think Rafa is making a huge mistake f***ing about with the position - it's certainly not helping Warnock or Traore. He may be a great manager, but he doesn't get everything right ....
  9. Traore is a liability. Riise has been the best leftback in the league this season and I don;t see why Rafa keeps f***ing about with the position.
  10. Play Riise there every week. We've barely conceded a goal with him as leftback this season.
  11. No I don't mate - but basically it showed teams like Bolton, Villa, Everton, Boro etc will never win the league in these money laden days. To have a chance of doing that you need to pay Champions League wages. It's very easy to be "successful" below that level and keep hovering between 12th and 5th but to make the jump you have to cough up at least 55-65m in wages (varies according to the country). When people ask where's the money gone, it goes on paying the likes of Steven Gerrard 100k a week. To spend more on transfers as people seem to demand we have to increase our revenues and as the recently published accounts of us and the Mancs have shown, the one area we are losing out is in the size of the stadium and the amount of corporate facilities.
  12. Actually Lee there's a pretty direct correlation between wage bill and success across Europe - was an article in The Times last year on it - statistical study over a number of years.
  13. We are if you look at the wage bill - we spend every penny we earn. And we won't earn much more unless we get a bigger stadium.
  14. and Heskey is as rare as hens' teeth among those who don't know him
  15. Did you want us to spend 5m on a stopgap?
  16. Owen, Baros, Anelka, Morientes
  17. Aren't you ignoring ticket revenue, Premier League and Champions League TV money, sponsorship etc? Or the best stopgap available - it's not as if you want to be spending money on a stopgap solution is it?
  18. we're missing Baros ...
