  4. Am tempted to go to their AGM as a proxy for hubby as he has shares in his club and tell her to her face what i think don't think hubby though trusts me enough to be polite about it
  5. Has to be done Kev now. I won't rest till either brum go down (which i hope) or she learns her lesson in running a football club By the way also mentioned to Rafa he's going to be named in divorce papers if we lose to them and he laughed but looked at me with determination
  6. Update on this Spoke to Rick tonight at the agm after about ticket prices at brum he mentioned that he has had a few rows with the tart in charge at that club about our ticket prices got the sense he's not impressed. The tart i believe couldnt' put up one reasonable reason why we're being charged so much when lesser clubs like everton aren't being charged the same. Anyway he said that the tickets will be the same £25 don't know about concessions i think she'll keep it at £25 regardless perhaps with Rick and me on her back she might learn something

    Agm

I'll be there as per usual
  8. Haven't done my letter until i've seen what they are going to charge us yet. ALthough hubby reckons that stand isn't the dearest guaranteed that when we're down they will make the upper the same price as the lower which means then they will be able to charge whatever they want I know people get pissed off with me writing but what gets my back up is the fact that they are blatently robbing us off! Everton and Wigan and other teams don't get charged that amount so why should we pay way over the odds! Also my ticket in Istanbul was £35 and to charge me £42 for this season's fixture at that s**** ground is totally unacceptable, perhaps people think that's ok but sorry i don't!
  9. Liverpool line up as follows: Reina Finann Carragher Hyypia Riise Garcia Sissoko Alonso Kewell Morientes Fowler Subs: Dudek Gerrard Cisse Crouch Hamann Traore Warnock
  10. moaning about ticket prices at Birmingham City so here goes for Brum supporters here are details be interesting to see what we are charged just registered hubby on their official site (he's a season ticket holder for them) The game will be definitely played on the Tuesday 20th March now for their season tickets holders it's £20 and for general it will £25 so anyone's guess what they might charge us! They are offering season tickets holders a discount cos of their excellent support throughout the season yes you did read that right Hubby never goes and he's a season ticket holder But the site also goes onto say if it's a draw then the replay will be April 12th!
  11. Great i'll be divorced by Wednesday after we've beaten them
  12. Has Rooney ever played in a proper final
  13. 19 February 2006 EXCLUSIVE: OFF THEIR REDS EXCLUSIVE Man U's Rio & O'Shea get police escort at Liverpool grudge game as they try to sneak in wearing HOODIES FA CUP SPECIAL SEE SPORT By John Kelly MANCHESTER United stars Rio Ferdinand and John O'Shea had to be rescued by riot police yesterday after trying to sneak into their team's FA Cup clash at Anfield - surrounded by Liverpool fans. The pair were almost lynched by an angry mob when they tried to slip in undetected for the fifth-round clash with deadly rivals Liverpool. Ferdinand and O'Shea donned hoodie tops in an effort to disguise themselves as they walked towards the ground amid thousands of fans. But they were exposed when police on crowd duty demanded they pulled their tops down to show their faces. A fight broke out close by as hundreds of Merseyside supporters spotted the players and surged towards them. One onlooker said: "It was a suicidal thing to do given the traditional hatred between the two clubs. "The police were telling anyone in a hoodie to show their faces but Rio obviously didn't want to because he knew what would happen." O'Shea pulled down his hood and told a policeman: "But we're players, mate." The fan added: "By then, Rio had pulled his down as well and the police were obviously shocked. They knew they had to do something quickly as it was getting very nasty. "The Liverpool fans couldn't believe they could do something so stupid." Mounted police surrounded the Old Trafford stars and officers demanded a steward open a gate to let them in. Officials believe the players - both out through injury - were on their way to collect complimentary tickets. Liverpool went on to beat United 1-0.
  14. My lad's view of Istanbul so far his english coursework The day was 25th May 2005, the day of the UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul between AC Milan and Liverpool. This game was built up to be one of the biggest games in European Cup history. AC Milan being 6 times winners of the trophy and Liverpool being 4 times winners. AC Milan?s last final was in 2003 while Liverpool?s last final was two decades ago. For my English coursework I will go through my experiences of the final in Istanbul and share many other experiences. The stage was set the UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul. I had my ticket up in the stands to the right of the big screen. The ground was packed with both AC Milan fans and Liverpool fans. The tickets were supposed to be distributed evenly but it seemed to be that AC Milan fans were out numbered 3:1 by Liverpool fans. I was sitting next to my Mum and her friend. We along with more than 20,000 Liverpool fans had travelled thousands of miles to get from all over the U.K. to Istanbul in Turkey. So far it had been a total disaster because for my team the mighty reds Liverpool. We were 2-0 down and that was just the first half and there was still several minutes remaining when suddenly a through ball from Kaka somehow managed to reach Crespo. Who seemed to convert the chance with great ease. I must admit though I could not tell how easy or how hard the chance was due to where I was situated in the ground. As soon as the ball hit the net the stadium just fell silent as if it was a funeral. As the clock ticked on I could see that Liverpool would be going into half time 3-0 down unless Milan got another goal. I looked around at fellow supporters and saw different reactions to the third goal. My reaction to the third goal was just a blur all I could remember was seeing other reactions. The first reactions I saw of other people were the reactions of my mum and her friend. My mum just sat in her seat and could not even look up at the match. This was probably because she had been to European cup finals and seen Liverpool win and had never seen Liverpool been outplayed like they did in the first half. She was distraught to say the very least. Then I looked to my left and saw my mum?s friend, she was standing up watching the highlights on the big screen. She was shaking like as if she had Parkinson?s disease. Then I saw a tall man about 2-3 rows behind me. He seemed to have the biggest reaction. He was sitting in his chair just motionless with his head in his hands. Then I saw a teardrop drop from his hands on to the concrete floor below. He then murmured something to himself which I could just about make out and it was ?I?ve come all this way to see us lose 3-0. What?s the use. I?ve had enough if another Milan goal goes in I?m making my way back to the airport.? After this fan said this it gave rang a nerve with me over a previous match. Olympiacos. This is because it was a similar situation we need two clear goals to progress to the knockout stage and we were 1-0 down at half time when another Liverpool man said something on the same lines but he infact said ?If we don?t score within the first 7 minutes I?m off. Off course we scored and the man stayed. So I decided to watch his reactions through the game. When the second went in he was shouting to the team to get a third. So when the ball fell to Gerrard in the last 10 minutes all you heard was the same man shouting of the top of his voice ?Shoot!!!!!?. Which Gerrard did and the ball flew into the net like a bullet and the kop along with the man roared and sent the nearest seismometer of the rictor scale. Then suddenly out of the blue all of the Liverpool fans started to sing telepathically our world renown song ?You?ll Never Walk Alone?. This was all to surreal because this song is usually sung at the start of each game to will the mighty reds on an to also scare the opposition with the atmosphere but playing it at half time when we were 3-0 down seemed a bit weird. During this song the triumphant AC Milan walked out fixing their hair making sure that they looked all right. This is because they thought they had both hands on the trophy. Then the dejected Liverpool players walked out with a point to prove. The second half was now in action and Liverpool were pushing AC Milan back and suddenly an almost like balloon type cross was crossed in from the left and landed straight flesh on to our skipper Steven Gerrard?s head and was directed with great accuracy into the bottom right hand corner of the goal. As soon as the ball reached the back of the net the same man that said he would leave shouted out ?I always knew we would score?. Which I thought to myself is this the same man or was it just me. With this goal I remembered the away match at Juventus another great Italian side. Were we 2-1 up on aggregate and Juventus needed 1 goal and we were out. Luckily Liverpool played the best defensive masterpiece I had ever seen. We were probably better defensively than Brazil were when they won the world cup. I probably remembered this certain match because if Milan scored another it would have gone on to be 6 maybe 7-0. Then suddenly the ball came to Smicer and everyone was thinking cross the ball in but no he released a thunderbolt of a shot. This just beat the keeper and from that moment we all knew we would score another. We could see that we were all over AC Milan and looked like scoring with every attack. Everyone around me was in uproar with shock. Even the same man who was blubbering at the end of the first half was cheering the reds on. This atmosphere was almost as good as Chelsea at fortress Anfield. Were after the sixth minute and a controversial goal the roof could have come of because it was so good. You couldn?t even hear the visiting supporters it was only a little murmur. This was the exact reverse but in Istanbul not Anfield. The support was electric. All of a sudden Gerrard made a sprint through the middle and he was dragged down were the referee blew for a penalty. The same man who was crying said ?Were gonna win?. I wasn?t to sure but Xabi missed and there was a loud sigh but he ran on and scored the rebound. From that moment on I always knew we would win. By Matthew Williams
  15. Good to see that inside the book they haven't used any of the sun headlines in it!

  17. What is the fascination about ex-players returning to play for us eh? Personally I can?t see it, all this talk about Michael Owen and now wanting Robbie Fowler coming back here to play for the reds is ridiculous. Lets faces facts if Michael was good enough or in his case wanted to (which he made it quite clear he didn?t want to play for us again by turning his back on us a second time saying no I want to be first choice and my England place must come first) then we would have made a move for him and pulled out all the stops to get him but I still would not have paid that silly amount of money that Newcastle paid for him. Considering we let him go for half that amount bad business from us if we had done. Would he have fitted into Rafa?s way of football I doubt that as Rafa expects his players to play as a team and not a one-man band. He also wants the team to defend from the front just as he demands us to attack from the defence. Can you honestly see Michael playing that way because I can?t from what I remember he used to hang around at the centre circle when we were defending to catch the lose balls. Now we have midfielders who are getting their names on the score sheet along with the strikers so it?s not too necessary for us to have someone out there anymore. Don?t get me wrong Michael when he played for us was a legend in every sense of the word he did win us single-handedly the FA Cup against Arsenal and also scored on many other occasions to spare our blushes and help us out, but those days have well and truly long gone. We have a team that are committed to one another and fight for the cause and put up a fight when needed e.g. Bolton. It?s been a long time since we fought as a team I must say. It?s great to see that when we score the whole team congratulate the scorer and when we played Newcastle on Boxing Day and we had that bit of set too with Steve Gerrard, Lee Bowyer, Alan Shearer and Peter Crouch the whole team backed one another that?s what Liverpool is all about. Now as for Robbie Fowler well what can be said about him that hasn?t already been said he was another legend even more so because of his local lad status, he was truly a great striker and knew instantly where the goal was without even looking. To me he was and always will be a legend but ultimately he let himself down with the antics he got up to off the pitch. I think he knows this and that?s why when he plays looks as though his heart just isn?t in it anymore. Does he need the money no he doesn?t he?s made money out of his properties and good luck to the lad. What hurt me about Robbie is when we played Villa a few years back he was standing in the tunnel and the fans were singing his name he just stood there as though he couldn?t have cared less ? shame that he knew then he was on his way. Ok some might say that Houllier had treated him unfairly but on the other side of the coin how many times are you supposed to turn the other cheek. For me anyway and I am probably wrong but lets just remember these two great players as legends and not as saviours anymore we don?t really need saviours we already have them wearing the red of today just think back to Istanbul were we shouting when were 3-0 down Michael or Robbie?s name, I think not. So let?s get behind the Redmen of today and not of yesteryear.

  25. Yeah let's get rid of Parry after all there's never any loo roll in the ladies when you need it I really despair of some of our so called supporters if they don't get there own way they say get rid of Parry and Moores for gods sake here's two fellas along with Rafa brought us our 5th yes 5th European Cup only 3 months ago my god what short memories some of us have eh! If it wasn't for Parry we would still have Houllier in charge (yes i liked him but still even i thought we needed a change). Owen created all of this not the board ok being a shareholder i would have been bloody fuming if we had paid twice for what we sold him for to get him back now that to me would have been a waste. He's injury prone and has lost some of his pace! He blackmailed the club last year Rafa got shut end off! Get over it people and get a life Keegan left and look what we got instead of him. We will get better i'm convinced of that Rafa is not stupid alright! Sorry rant over!
