He had one good season alongside Hansen. As soon as Hansen was gone Hysen was sliding in for tackles that he was never going to win and his positional sense was really poor. possibly cos he'd lost his pace towards the end of his career and started to try and compensate by taking up deep positions?

It was good to see Crouch attack the ball with such aggression for thr goal. He's usually like a wet lettuce but I was impressed with the way he attacked it last night. Pity about the other chances......

He was undoubtedly a shining light for us in the 90's, especially when he had a free role. As a person I don't like him. I work for a charity and we asked him to do some work for us. He wanted paying - in advance. We asked Jamie Redknapp who said yes straight away, didn't charge us and got a load of signed shirts for us. Top bloke but poor pundit.
