Season loan makes sense - Should Pepe pick up an injury we can bring Scott back - Having Carson playing 1st football is only going to be an advantage - even put up his price a bit

Typical of them - making huge bids for players they know they won't sign - their fans fall for the same thing every transfer window -
What kind of a start do you expect next weekend?

We'll beat them easy - we'll cruise through the game - Pennant will score 2 kuyt will score 4 and Alonso will score a peno - 7 - 0 - Martin O'Neill will offer his resignation after the game and retire to his house in Liverpool and be replaced by Big Ron -
The Ressies are in some other tournament in Holland aswell so I'd say the XI will be a strong enough side

Racecourse car park plan for new football stadiums Aug 1 2007 by Larry Neild, Liverpool Daily Post A HUGE park-and-ride scheme based at Aintree Racecourse could provide a solution to transport problems for Liverpool and Everton FC’s new stadiums. Transport chief Neil Scales last night confirmed that talks were under way with the owners of the racecourse about basing a major park-and-ride service at Aintree. It could mean thousands of motorists leaving their cars at the course and heading in shuttle buses to the stadia, easing traffic problems around the two grounds. Mr Scales, chief executive of Merseytravel, says the park-and-ride scheme is one of a number of major solutions proposed to ease matchday parking problems across North Merseyside. With the course used for racing on only on a small number of days a year, it would avert gridlock in the main roads around the area. The course is within easy reach of both the M58 and M57 motorways. Other schemes which could help carry supporters to the proposed new grounds could also include restoring the Merseytram Line 1 project from Liverpool to Kirkby, using the potential arrival of Everton FC in the town as a catalyst. The existing Merseyrail electrified line is also to be extended by about a mile to serve Tower Hill, with a new railway station within walking distance of the new ground, should it be built. The Merseytravel plan also envisages a major new transport interchange close to Kirkby town centre. New user-friendly cycle and walkways will also be developed. Last night Mr Scales said: “I cannot be drawn into the debate about whether Everton should or should not move to Kirkby. However we see major improvements taking place across North Merseyside as part of the regeneration of the area. “Of course a firm decision by Everton to move will change matters and will give impetus to the regeneration and improved transport links. We are already involved in talks with council officials in Liverpool and Knowsley about transportation.” Around 38,000 Everton fans will vote this month on the crucial ballot which will decide whether the move to Kirkby goes ahead.

Doesn't FIFA regulation prevent that? Can't move twice in the same season?

Steve McManaman believes that Liverpool's £40million worth of new signings will not bring a first Premier League title since 1990. Manager Rafael Benitez has signed Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel, Yossi Benayoun and Andriy Voronin over the summer, but McManaman, who made over 300 appearances for Liverpool during a nine-year spell at Anfield, feels that Chelsea will win The Premier League this season. McManaman, who was speaking at the launch of the Setanta Sports channel, feels that the new signings will take too long to gel as a team: "For Liverpool fans the Premiership title is the holy grail. "Fernando Torres has arrived for a lot of money and the fans will be expecting him to do well straight away," McManaman continued. "The Liverpool fans will expect them to win the Premiership this season. But I still think it will be very difficult to dislodge Manchester United and Chelsea this season. The fact they had a 20 point gap over Liverpool last season showed it was a big gap. "It is not as easy as splashing out a lot of money on new players and then expecting them to win the title. Manchester United and Chelsea have also spent a lot of money. "You hope that Liverpool can win it in the future but at the moment United and Chelsea seem to have a hold on it."

I think the new LFC channel and the partnership with Setanta may have something to contribute to the big screens - it won't all come down to sky. Another thing about the stadium is that it will probably be used as a venue for non football events like music concerts etc. That new kop stand would be an amazing place to be to see a huge gig - it may also be the reason why the anny rd end has so few seats as thats where a stage would be located.
-
Now thats good irony
-
My guess is that the Anny Rd end will be made up of seating for away fans and above them will be the media suites were sky etc will broadcast from - there will also be an open sewer up there which can be flushed onto the away fans as maually throwing excrement is plainly unhygienic
