    Thought this as well as soon as I read the Alves stuff today. Maybe a £8m bid to Benfica (e-mail or fax, not too fussy) to test the water and see how Del Nido reacts?

    The beauty about Alves (nothing to do with his looks, LOL!!!), is that he can play anywhere on the right, which will give us options galore. A lot will depend on whether Kromkamp is still here in August, but all the talk of him going has died down a bit. Fantastic business on our part, considering how much Del Nido has got for his players in the past few seasons. Now for Kuyt...
