4-5-1 now then is it? No-one upfront there when beckham had a shot in.

Can't watch univision, I'd rather watch it in Hi-def and listen to the wafflings of Balboa. Have a couple of non-footy fans watching it strictly cos it's in HD.

julie foudy lookks odd. who the heck is jim mcckay?

The ref is calling crouch every time for hands on the players when he goes up for headers.

its all the puma ones, poland had it yesterday.

paraguay keeper has been subbed, injured himself running out. OG for the goal, on a typical beckham setpiece.

Bring in Given.

Good opening day.. Ecuador should go through with Germany now.

Not a lot of interest in this one is there? Ecuador playing a liverpool under Houllier tactic.. Defend with your life the 1 goal lead..

1-0 to Ecuador, tenorio scores.. Throw in headed in, and a nice header low to the keepers right..

jaysus the ecuador keeper has been replaced by a kid from hte stands. with his face paint and everything.

Wouldn't mind seeing the poles talk this, should be a good open game.

And again the ball swerving like mad.. This sets it up.. everyone is going to be blasting away from outside the box.

Nice drive from Frings... 30 yards out. 4-2

Not sure why Costa Rica just brought on Bolanos now, he was very good against us when we played Saprissa.

the odd thing was on the slo-mo you could see that there was no spin on the ball, it was struck pretty straight,. Could be good for Stevie and beckham, and of course lampard who'll deflect it in off something. All the hard hitters will do well with this ball.. that first shot from Frings mentioned above was also a screamer.

Working from home, watching in Hi-def, sun beating down outside. kind of, its breaking through the fog.. Schweinsteiger and Podolski are playing well, the german midfield is well able to contain costa rica.

Did you see the bend on the ball when Lahm scored, that was all over the place, a little kink mid flight..

have you all checked mininova or torrentspy? I know I saw it on one of those sites that you need to register on and are locked down.

I am loving this, his star is on the rise now, all from a robot dance. How mad is it.

You have got to give him huge credit for that, brilliant stuff from the crouch. Brings a huge smile to my face to see it. well in Peter.

Crouch did indeed play quite well. Him and Lennon are the best on the field
