He played well in midweek but they were polar opposite to your run of the mill premier league team. He's clearly a very lovely footballer, but he's so f***ing weak and seems to want all the time in the world, and he's not getting that off any team in this league. Needs to massively improve; quicker, stronger, more productive.

I agree. I think he deserves the season to do whatever it is he thinks he needs to do. The signings deserve a season to bed in. There's been a lot of upheaval. Performances need to improve though. I can take a defeat, I can't take that performance tonight. I can accept a few defeats on the bounce. But I can't accept that performance against United followed by that performance tonight.

I watched on a NZ stream, and when we had our first corner the co-com, fairly sure it was Andy Townsend but I don't care enough to find out, said something along the lines of "that tells you everything about the game so far" (sic) and I was thinking (ranting at my partner) "well, it tells me arsenal are f***ing crap" Honestly, a team of that quality set up to be constantly looking to force the odd corner or dodgy free kick? I'm almost upset for the Arsenal fans. Almost. I'll have to stop laughing at them first.
