  1. The thought of us perhaps not signing a proper defensive midfielder is a depressing one imo. We need a more mobile destructive midfielder to slot in next to Stevie. We look far too lightweight at times, Spurs at home and Southampton away are two games that spring to mind. I'll be gutted if we're not in for Wanyama. I spoke with a friend of mine recently who supports Celtic and he feels he's definitely off. He said if he ends up at Cardiff or Southampton then next year he'll be worth double than the fee mentioned now and we'll have missed a great opportunity.
  2. Should be in the side ahead of Allen.
  3. Reports that Southampton have agreed a £10 million fee for Wanyama. Really hope we are in for him. I like Lucas but we need a more mobile and destructive defensive midfield player.
  4. Cardiff and Southampton are to bid for Wanyama. Same article says we are monitoring the situation, via newsnow.
  5. Atsu to sign via Tony Barrett [via The Times]
  6. 4 year deal has been agreed according to Deportivo Mundo
  7. Could really see that side struggle against WBA etc alright... #onlysignplayerswhocantackle
  8. I'm going to put on my championship manager hat here for a second. Gerrard Wanyama Eriksen Suarez Sturridge Coutinho
  9. Rodgers just on SSN saying we need more goals in the group and it will be an area we'll look at.
  10. I like Lucas but we should be looking to replace him with a more physical, destructive, mobile player. Wanyama, Gerrard, Eriksen would be my ideal midfield.
  11. It's on ITV4
  12. Alonso and Wanyama. Get it done Rodgers.

  14. Liverpool have joined the chase for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama. Manager Brendan Rodgers has had the 21-year-old watched extensively and is ready to make a move in the summer window. Rodgers has made strengthening his defence a priority and wants at least one more attacking player. Yet Kenya holding midfielder Wanyama fits the player profile desired by the club’s owners and he can also provide cover at centre back, which is a bonus. Wanyama has been watched by both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Everton and Sunderland this season as he has proved one of the stars of Celtic’s Champions League campaign. He has one year left on his contract and Celtic would want around £10million. Liverpool want four new players in the summer but are also likely to offload some of their big earners to help offset the cost and lower their wage bill. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2295499/Liverpool-hope-buy-Celtic-midfielder-Victor-Wanyama.html If there is any truth in this then it's certainly encouraging and at £10 would be a bargain. Exactly the type of player we need too. Pair him Xabi
  15. Iturra is an attacking midfielder isn't he? Have we been linked with any decent defensive midfielders. Wanyama would be ideal, he's going to be a beast. Could we realistically sign him though?
  16. Heavily linked with Honda this morning. Definitely a level up from Downing plus he's available on a bosman.

  18. SSN saying we are in for Taarabt.
  19. Arsenal now in for Downing according to a few sites on newsnow.
  20. Not a hope of signing Hazard now. Zidane has been appointed director of football at Madrid and is a big fan of him.
  21. Sneijder on his way to the mancs?
  22. I think we should be looking at Hulk from Porto too. Impressed during the recent Europa League final, can play upfront or on the wing, perfectly suited to the prem.
  23. I wouldn't be so worried, with those four we'd absolutely t*** teams.
  24. When filling out the application form for my fan card a few years back was there was a box you could tick to request to join the season ticket waiting list? I seem to remember there being one but I'm not too sure as it was years ago.
