    Riise

Mde me snort coffee all over my monitor, you bast. Its funny because its true. What is his shots to goals ratio looking like now, how many shots since last goal ?
  2. Personally think Torres is vastly overrated. He needs to get off his fat a*** and put 4 in the back of the net in one match. Lazy bast.
  3. This content is not viewable to guests.
  4. Its not about getting Carlsberg involved. Its about making Hicks think twice about evaluating potential future profits.
  5. I always want them to lose, if that counts.
  6. I agree totally. Do both. People are convincing themselves its in the best interest of the club to keep going to the game, when its the worst thing anyone could be doing.
  7. Nobody sees much point in doing anything that will matter. We HAVE to start getting the message through to Hicks. Protests at the match don't matter to him one little bit, when every person has paid him 40 quid to go there and sing nasty names about him. And I do agree that match boycotts are needed now. Take a look at this on their home page and tell me the Liverpool fans boycotting it wouldn't matter; its not just about the lost sales, its about image and sending a message out : http://www.carlsberggroup.com/Company/Spon...s/Football.aspx http://www.carlsberggroup.com/Company/Spon.../Liverpool.aspx http://www.carlsberggroup.com/Company/Spon...es/Default.aspx Hicks entire business strategy is that the fans will keep coming to the games, paying for him to own the club and do whatever he wants with it. We HAVE to show him that we are serious and we have to show him now, before it is too late.
  8. 1. Absolutely No, unless we can get someone like Kenny. 2. Yes; totally. 3. Yes. The clubs finances and partners are not the clubs any more - they are Hicks. People need to wake up to this fact before it is too late. We don't want to be another set of Stars or Rangers fans and only realise the extent of this mans avarice and single mindedness once it is too late and look back wishing we had done more. This isn't about taking money away from Carlsberg - it is to make Hicks think. Don't presume Hicks wants to sell. Its very possible he wants to own us forever and keep milking us. He HAS to be shown we won't put up with him.

  10. Sack rafa, he's s***. /end WKD
  11. No idea but I'd certainly contribute.
  12. Hicks pattern has been the same on buying his other clubs. He buys expensive players, spouts all sorts of lies about his intentions - he invariably breaks all his promises to clubs, fans and players - then two years later he sells those players in an attempt to make profit on them, once their value has risen. A Rod is a prime example. People talk about how expensive he was and how it is an example of how good a custodian Hicks is - they miss out he tried to sell him less than two seasons later when he was the most valuable player in the country.
  13. Its about much more than just the lost revenue from the people who boycott; in that sense which of the people who boycott have season tickets doesn't matter. Yes it is about lost $$$$ from boycotters, but its also getting the message out to banks who supply the Americans with loans, to potential investors, to sponsors - its about making Hicks think twice when he says : "All of these teams have become businesses in the past 20 years," Hicks said. " This business has to do with fan affinity and brand devotion. It doesn't necessarily have to do with winning." Its about letting him know that he can't consider selling our star players without there being massive ramifications. If DIC walk away thats it - we are f***ed. This is a crucial time and I fully believe NOW is the time for boycotts. next season could be too late.
  14. The sad truth is he can afford us, if he doesn't want to develop us. What he has done with his other teams is sell their star players and continue to milk the fans. I believe this is an option in his mind right now. He would get close to 100mill from the sale of Gerrard and Torres - that gives him and GG more profit than DIC have offered plus they would still own the club. Don't for one second believe he won't do it because he has done it before. I agree its time for us to push as hard as we are able. But I honestly don't think he is in the least bit bothered by any of the 'siege mentality'. He has spent his life screwing people over; its not new to him.
  15. Hicks entire business strategy and his only strength is in my sig : All of these teams have become businesses in the past 20 years," Hicks said. " This business has to do with fan affinity and brand devotion. It doesn't necessarily have to do with winning." His only trump card is that folk will keep going to the match to support the team, no matter how much he screws us over, because the team needs our support. As to how you achieve it, I'd suggest the leaders of the various support groups, like Knox and SoS, get together to discuss it and gauge support for the idea. If people are behind it have a collection set up and put full page adds in the Echo. I would strongly recommend that even if we don't go forward and do it that SoS etc take out full page adds outlining our problems with Hicks and putting on the table the fact that the fan groups are considering advocating match boycotts. Just that going into the press at the moment would considerably weaken Hicks position. As for elaving it until next season, the longer it is left the more time Hicks has to try and weasel out of it or find alternatives.
  16. I have huge respect for you guys, but the only thing that will work is boycotts. Protests don't matter when everyone who is protesting has paid Hicks 40 quid to be there. he doesn't care how unpopular he is and he doesn't care about anyones opinions of him. All that matters to him is $$$$ Even the threat of protest would start him thinking. It has to be brought to the table for all the groups who are taking action to discuss together.
  17. Think you're just being blinded by the fact Rafa has tattooed on the inside of Riises eyeballs to try and pass form the edge of the box instead of just hammering a shot into whichever opponent steps in front of him mate How is the count of his shots to goals ratio goign anyways ?
  18. Shows what a clueless c*** you are comparing yesterday with that. My missus doesn't follow football, but when Taggart was on the telly yesterday having a whinge, she remarked on how that old Scottish fellas face looks as though he has a real drink problem and isn't it affecting his personality
  19. This is spot on. Staveley and Al Ansaari have both very publicly and very purposefully bitch slapped Hicks in the press this week. The leaked document is just the hair that broke the camels back; the fact it proves he is a liar is a Brucie bonus. They are the ones who have said a 51%/49% deal has been agreed. They've said they own Hicks, that they will fully own LFC and that he knows it. They are bullying him. There is a lot more to this than meets the eye. The things they have been saying are not in line with somebody who is trying to complete a deal to be a minority shareholder.
  20. My opinion only and I'm sure most will disagree, but Torres and Robbie are/were different class to Owen. Torres has past Owens best goal tally in his first season, with 9 games to go. If Robbies attitude off the pitch matched his natural ability he could have been the best player this country has ever produced. Oh, that hat trick, now that was a thing of beauty. Torres is already up their in my eyes with Rushie and Kenny, not just because of his goals and ability, but because of his attitude and respect for the club and the fans.

  22. As an aside, a few interesting links off Youtube via RAWK on the Sheikh and DIC on 60 Minutes : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JokLDqKNQJM
  23. Makes me sad watching that, the way things have gone between the fans and Souness. He was such a player for us. Has he ever said why he gave his interview with the rag ?
  24. I'm basing my opinion on a number of things : i) like a lot of folk on here I've watched them with interest for decades - without anything else taken into consideration I would have bet my house on them building something special, given the opportunity; ii) they have announced massive investment in the West over the coming few years; iii) the numbers don't add up for it to be a purely build the stadium the way we were foreseeing - costs can increase too much, the investment needed in players, means the guaranteed returns just aren't there; iv) this is going to be the first major construction work DIC do in the Western world - they are not going to mess about or do something half arsed, for the same of saving a few million or cutting corners. Yes, I could be wrong, but I will be massively surprised if I am. I am just jubilant that the club looks like having any kind of a financially sound future, because the Americans were really taking chances with us.
