  1. Nothing to worry about. It's just a story copied from the press... Liverpool.no are not a source generally "in the know", and only on rare occasions have exclusives. This is not one of them.
  2. What would make the most sense would be to open an academy in Dubai. Having no problems with work permits, it would open up the door to all the top talent in the world. They would still need some kind of back door to Europe, but it could be arranged by having links to a belgium club (as Arsenal had and both Chelsea and Man U have).
  3. I don't think the plans are set in stone. It's not that long ago Rafa himself presented his input of how he wanted the new stadium to be. There are probably limitations related to infrastructure (mainly transport solutions) and things such as physical sice (height-length-width), but they can probably be changed as well given the right incentives (when Liverpool presented the 70K capacity solution, there was some talk about a building new railroad station).
  4. Agreed. He would be perfect for Liverpool, who need another midfielder. Sissoko, Xabi, Gerrard and Mascherano would be just great.
  5. Hyypia reads the game better, is much stronger, is better tactically, better one-on-one.... All in all a much better defender. Agger is a bit hyped up at the moment, and though he has showed a lot of promise he's still got a long way to go before he's anywhere near the class Hyypia has shown year after year.
  6. Neither would I. Despite all the Agger hype, I still think Hyypia is the better player. There aren't any other players in the current squad who are close to his quality in the air. Unless Rafa buys someone like Luizao, then Hyypia is needed.
  7. My information is not from Liverpool.no According to both TLW and NUFC.co.uk, Dudek should have saved. The game is over now btw. Liverpool lost 1-4. Fowler scored.
  8. 3-0 to Newcastle. Another goal from Luque.
  9. Newcastle are 2-0 up at the moment (half time). Goals from Luque and Traisi. The latter was a mistake from Dudek. Peltier injured (Smith has come on)... I also think Warnock is injured. Darby has replaced him in the team. El Zhar missed a simple tap in chance.
  10. Anderson and Hammill are both with the England U19 squad.
  11. His name is Dag Alexander Olsen (nicknamed Alec), and his birth date is 10.09.1989. I know players who have played against him, and according to them he's one of the best players in his division (very strong, very direct and very pacy), but he only plays in the third highest league in Norway so it might not say much. He's never started a game for his club (has usually played 10-20 minutes), but has still managed to score six goals in five games (three in 20 minutes in his last game, and for the third goal he did everything himself, starting on his own half). He's very hard working, and got a red card in one of the games. According to the player himself he's not very skillful, but more skillful than most at the Tottenham academy. He has offers from Tottenham, Lillestrøm and Ham-Kam (the latter two are in the top division in Norway), and I know Bayern Munich have offered him a trial, but I haven't heard anything about Liverpool being interested.
  12. Capello was my first choice, Gus Hiddink number two...
  13. It's from Marca originally... Link!
  14. Don't think the current squad will do too well, as Hammill, Antwi, Roque, Anderson and Hobbs will be sorely missed (Nardiello is also about to leave). Two or three new players are needed I think....
  15. Chelski have bought five senior players so far this summer, and five youth players as well... Moanrinho is full of crap as always.
  16. According to Peter himself he's never supported Chelski. He went to their matches along with his father, and QPR's matches along with his mates, but he never considered himself a fan of either. As he's since played for QPR he now says their results are always the first he looks for, and if he supports a team it's them. He also says he hopes Chelski loses every single game.
  17. Balague said (in the interview with TLW) that Liverpool are not interested in Krkic, and the player (as well as his father) has insisted that he'll stay at Barcelona.
  18. He's not one of the top five in this tournament, but neither is Messi, Toni et al. He's proved himself a top class player over the past couple of years, and though Gattusso is better defensively, De Rossi is a much more complete player (and I think you'll find that most italians rate him as the better player of the two). As for central midfield being Liverpools strongest position: Of course, but getting five world class players is just fantasy stuff anyway.
  19. De Rossi is quality... Better than Gattusso.
  20. Messi - will soon be better than Ronaldinho Rooney - I think he's better than Tevez For the bench: De Rossi, Kaka and Lucio
  21. I'm not saying he *is* the best in his position, but that he can become the best if he can regain his best form. The form he showed in 02/03 was truly amazing, but he hasn't reached the same heights since (mostly because of injuries)....
  22. Aurelio is potentially world class. If he can get back to where he was in the 02/03 season, then he's probably the best left back in the world.
  23. It's actually not the same player.... The Shane O'Connor that Liverpool alledgedly signed in february played for St. Joseph Boys, this one played for Wilton. They are both U16 internationals for Ireland.
  24. I think he's actually a defender, so the new Phil Babb perhaps?
  25. Agree (about him being a brilliant player), but the total fee might rise to ?15 million eventually (according to the press in Belgium)....
