I would agree that you should take it one game at a time but it is different when you have an important game 48 hours later. For this reason I think Kenny has ear-marked Bellamy, Maxi and Kuyt to start on tuesday night, therefore I see Downing, Henderson and Carroll coming in for these three today and early substitutions for Suarez, Adam and possibly Lucas (depending on whether he has a booking or not). Three Observations 1. How Kuyt stayed on is beyond me, he is not a player for home games v weaker teams, he just seems to get in the way, takes a touch backwards and slows us down. 2. If Lucas (first name on teamsheet) is out a like for like replacement (Spearing) should be played to maintain our system and style of play, Gerrard looked out on his feet from midway through the second half. 3. Carragher cannot be a guaranteed starter anymore and Kenny will sooner or later have to make this decision, Skrtel covered him on several occassions today. Our top pairing now is Skrtel and Agger and hopefully Coates to come good and force his way in but give him a season to find his feet and then play him.

Presume a disrepute charge from the FA would be on the cards too with a fairly hefty ban. But the lad said he hasn't said anything and given Evra's previous in this regard, I know who I believe. Most frustrating thing about Carra is that he will chose to hoof it out of play or up to their keeper when a touch and a lay off are clearly on. I think it is bad management that allows him to continue doing this. The man is a legend as is the manager but this should not hide them from criticism.
