  2. It's an awful deal considering they paid £30M for him and let Eto'o go in the other direction. Imagine Eto'o in that same team with Messi in his current form They'd be scoring 7 in every game.
  3. I ended up on Turf Moor the other Wednesday watching Burnley v Stoke - Sidibe is the correct answer. I don't think he'd get a game in the Conference.

    A new gem?

He seems to be impressing the way Pacheco did at that level and the way LDV has done for the last 18 months. We seem to have some excellent technical players coming through.

  19. Barry was supposedly a great captain at Villa, inspired through words and deeds. I didn't want it to be Gerrard (hopefully he announces his retirement from International footy), and I'd rather it not be Duck face or that little c*** up front.
  20. I'd have given it Barry. Always plays, decent player, and isn't a PR nightmare. He's like the Steve McClaren of England players in that he's incredibly dull.
  21. Last season for half a year we played the best football in Europe, arguably, and came within inches of winning the league. Why can't we have both? United play outstanding football, always have, and win trophy after trophy. Arsenal (albeit not having won a thing for 5 years) have always played superb football and have won titles playing superb football. The two are not mutually exclusive. We of all fan-bases should know that seeing as we've had some of the best footballing sides in history. I'm squarely behind Rafa, he deserves better than what he's getting from sections of the fans and the entire media, he has his weaknesses, he makes mistakes, he pisses me right off at times, but I believe under him we still stand a great chance of winning the league. If he is to leave, and to be honest I wouldn't blame him because it's nothing short of a f*cking witch hunt in the media, then I want a manager that has sound footballing principles, a track record, and above all isn't a complete c*nt. The day we settle for a complete c*nt just "to win the league" is the day this club and our fan-base truly dies and becomes like every other out there. We're better than that.
  22. People complain about our style of football under Rafa - they'd apoplectic with Mourinho's attempts to make the opposition fall asleep. And what's he ever won without serious financial backing? You think he'd get that here? I hate the man with a passion and don't want him within a hundred miles of Anfield.
  23. Be interesting if young Michael Ngoo makes it with us then
