  1. Think he is in Brazil trying to sort out a club there. He wants to go to Brazil, we are happy for him to leave. Probabaly similar situation to the Maxi deal.
  2. Clearly we are in negotiations... but they are going nowhere. Buck coming out yesterday about how great Andy is and that him not being able to play in his system is rubbish and now Pardew coming out with our need to take a significant loss.....
  3. Surely it is a case of making sure high wages goes to those players playing week in week out and contributing strongly to the side. Not paying big wages to squad players who are back-ups. They should be the kids or purchases on less wages.
  4. There is still time to bin Adam and Downing. I suspect there is interest in both, could be a case of us wanting to line up our preferred replacements first before sanctioning..... Can't believe for a second we wouldn't get back what we paid for Adam from the likes of a West brom, fulham, stoke, reading. He would be a marquee signing for any of those and do very well there....
  5. Swansea preparing for allen's departure? or as an alternative to missing out on siggy....? Rayo Vallecano accept Swansea's bid for midfielder Michu, according to reports in Spain. The Barclays Premier League side is believed to have made a two million euros bid for the 26-year-old, who scored 15 La Liga goals last season. According to Marca.com, the Spaniard was given the all clear to discuss personal terms with the Welsh side on Monday
  6. can someone copy and paste the webchat in full.... please?
  7. now... that would explain it!
  8. can't find rory smith's webchat on the telegraph site......
  9. If we can't persuade Maxi to stay then he leaves without a pay-off. We wont get a fee and if he wants to go that badly we shouldn't give him a package so his new club can pay him less
  10. 13m euros then........
  11. The design and capacity of the stadium is important. It could be our home for the next 50-100 years. If it is a drab, boring bowl that has no identity/individuality it will damage our brand and essence. I'd happily delay another couple of years (we have already been waiting almost a decade!), to get an iconic design, different, something to be proud of.
  12. We have to be careful during this transfer window, as we'll 'reap what we sow'
  13. Can't see it. Reckon we will give Carrol time, at least until the summer, The amount newcastle or the likes of Stoke are willing to pay wont decrease in that time and there is a good chance he will improve over the next 6mths and we'll be able to get closer to £25m or he becomes a striker we are willing to keep.
  14. russian league has quite a bit of money in it now and more favourable tax regime than us. I suspect he will need something around 100k wk? And a large transfer fee, on what would be a bit of a punt. Can't see it hapening.
  15. All except Raul played a lot of the game against Gala on Friday....? That could account for them but hopefully it means that they are close to leaving. Which leaves Raul. Is he injured? if not his absence would strongly suggest he is leaving as he didn't play at all on Friday....
  16. Saric deal confirmed by BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ool/7493493.stm Liverpool have completed a deal for Denmark Under-18 international forward Nikola Saric. The 17-year-old former Herfolge player has signed a four-year contract, which is thought to be worth about £900,000. The left-footed Saric is a versatile attacker and can play on the left or right wing or as a central striker. He spent some time on trial with SC Heerenveen at the Otten Cup tournament, hosted by PSV Eindhoven, from the end of May to the start of June

    CL DRAW

As the tie is being played a week after the others, is it on TV?
  19. The Fed cut their US interest rate by a massive 0.75% today. As an American bank is part of the refinncing this 'could' make the refinancing more likely
  20. bad performance. it happens. city away much rather us raise our game for that one when it will be needed!!
  21. Hammil got a few mentions in the bbc report.... Striker Stern John scored a second-half hat-trick to lead Southampton to an impressive win over Hull at St Mary's. Bradley Wright-Phillips gave the home side the lead when he headed in Adam Hammill's cross past Boaz Myhill. Hammill turned provider again when his his cross was nodded in by John before the forward slotted in Marek Saganowski's pass. John then smashed in a superb volley from distance for his third and ninth goal of the season

  23. The goals he has scored for England in the last 2 games has pure goalscorer written over it. The turn and shot from the edge of the area against Hungary, geeting ahead of a man on the corner getting a touch on the volley, drifting to the back stick losing the goascorer and lastly the instinctive shot for his hattrck Can we expect 20+ goals from him next season? on the flip side, after his performances for England, how much would you be willing to pay for him now?
