Who is saying nothing is his fault? I always quote context, leeway, reasons. I've said he's not doing well. I've stated I think he's being pragmatic. That's not glorious support. I've yet to hear you say something is NOT his fault over the past few weeks.

This suggests that Slot is wholly responsible for the complete decline in form of Macca, Gravenberch (to a point), Salah, Konate, Gakpo and VVD (to a point), while integrating new players. I don't accept that. I think he is trying, in difficult circumstances to find pragmatic solutions, with very very limited success. But it's difficult. There is a lot of binary discourse on here that we're s***e solely because of Slot.

You're probably right on Slot, but Gerrard is clearly not a long term answer. Coming in in mid season with games every four days (for now at least), to an unbalanced squad in some areas, little cover in others and physical decline in yet more is not an easy task - adopting a new expansive style can't be done with a flick of a switch - I've not thought about it much, but Jurgen aside, I can't remember another manager coming in to a team and doing this successfully. . Slot hasn't been able to find a consistent solution, but he's not solely at fault, imo. A new coach/manager will expect a three year contract and, if he has any sense, promises on spending from the owners. All that said, new energy, different energy or new players are needed for sure

No manager can imo without major squad changes. LW, 2 RW, 2 MF, LB, RB, 2 or 3 CB, CF And with that many in, no one can would win us the League anyway. It’s a rebuild, again. Slot should probably go in the Summer, but I don’t think he will if we get top 4/5, and I still think he’s our best bet of getting top 4/5 this season.

What does ‘turn around’ mean, Murph? League is gone, so any place 2nd to 5th is acceptable. I keep saying it, but the squad is nowhere close to good enough in key areas. We can change the manager all we like, but the squad has to change as well, otherwise it’ll be the same faults coming to the surface. Maresca was mentioned today. Slot is a more successful head coach than Maresca.
