Oh ffs behave yeh f'ckin self will yeh We where playing a team that was f'ckin knackered and down to ten men and we won in f'ckin injury time because the referee did not aware everton one of the most blatant f'ckin penalties of the season We where LUCKY to win, we did not because of taking an attacking midfielder off and leaving two defensive midfielders on against ten men, or playing kuyt on his own or voronin on the wing etc etc etc As an aside to the tactical aspect of it all, which to be honest I dont really care about, his press conference and was a f'ckin disgrace and he should not have publicly said what he did which is my main gripe
-
He should not criticise any of them publicly And to unfairly criticise them publicly is far worse You cant speak of keeping the ball and leave sissoko on ffs, he is one of the worst passers of a football I have ever seen in a Liverpool shirt. Also leaving sissoko and mascerano on against ten man was crazy etc etc etc He was wrong and got lucky, if he is wrong in a few league games again and doesnt get lucky then what happens ? 30 league games we have lost in previous 3 seasons, averages about 10 a season. 22 league games drew, averages about 7 a season. When he won the league in spain he drew 10 and lost 5, and then drew 8 and lost 7. You would not of got anywhere near the premier league title in england apart from 2003 when utd won it losing and drawing that many games since the turn of the century I am still to be convinced that his methods will win a premier league in england, I think he changes things about to much to get the consistency required to win a premier league and his record up to now over here does not convince me otherwise. He is not above debate and judgment, no one is saying replace him, but his record in the premiership does not entitle him to be above questioning
-
If your steven gerrard and rafa says to you, I took you off because we couldnt keep the ball and at the same time he left sissoko on what would you say to that And as wayne said, that should have been said to gerrard privately, not publicly.
-
I am as flabbergasted as you by his after match comments, that is what really upset me to be honest. On the tactical/footballing side, we where lucky to win, that is obvious, we where lucky to win at wigan as well truth be told and our dip in form over the last month has been alarming. We have not kept the ball at all and have been absolutely awful in Europe. I cant understand why, we looked brilliant earlier in the season, against chelsea at anfield we where fantastic. There is some strange things starting to happen, like resting torres in the league and playing him in a carling cup game, gerrard in the derby etc etc. Big week for us this is, really big week.
-
I never said the sh'te he got had anything to do with him being subbed, I was talking about elisha getting upset and calling rafa and was giving mitigating circumstances, ie his mates kids and wife had just been abused constantly before our own manager subbed him and then humiliated him on tv, claiming he could not keep the ball when he left sissoko on who is the worst passer at the club
-
Aye, posted by the players mate, who is bound to be upset. Did you hear the sh'te gerrard was getting on Saturday and then our manager f'ckin humiliated him in front of the TV cameras ffs No other posters have posted any form of abuse about the manager etc and elisha did it cos the gerrard is sh'te pack jumped all over him and he was arguing with about ten different posters at once As david hogdson has said in his post above it seems people are trying to portray people who question our manager humiliating our captain in a press conference after the derby for no apparent reason whatsoever as wanting rafa out or abusing him etc That is not the case, he is starting to make some weird decisions and I am concerned to be honest
-
Personal abuse ? We are debating his decision to take gerrard off in the derby, perfectly f'ckin valid. If you cant discuss things like that on a Liverpool forum what exactly is the point of this place, do yeh think rafa is gonna read here and f'ck off in July ? Behave will yeh, if f'ckin bob paisley had done what benitez did on Saturday I would be livid and I would say so to. And as for his record speaking for itself, no it f'ckin does not, his record in the premiership does not speak for itself, not at all and he is by no means above criticism, some of the things he does are brilliant, some baffling
-
Difference is, gerrard can play alonso's role, alonso cant play gerrards Recent history - go and watch England V Brazil when gerrard played the holding role and was MOM Bit further back - go and watch us beat Everton 3-0 a goodison 4 years ago with gerrard playing as the holding midfielder with smicer, diouf and kewell ahead of him Gerrard can do everything, alonso cant. Same goes for the new darling of the forum, fabregas. He is no f'ckin steven gerrard mate, beleive me, and you will see on Sunday
-
Alonso is a great passer and helps link everything together and you are correct we have missed him. But he has NEVER took a game by the scruff of the neck and dominated a midfield and won a game for Liverpool, inspired his team mates, he doesnt score enough goals and he goes missing to much when it starts going badly. Opposition fans dont jump up and down like they have just scored when alonso gets subbed he is no steven gerrard and never will be If both where up for sale tommorow then the managers of man utd, chelsea, milan, madrid etc would demonstrate who the best midfielder at liverpool was
-
Eh ? Put through ? He ran from the edge of his own f'ckin box and received the ball just inside the everton half and then won us a pen and got a man sent off from their team. HE RAN 70 F'CKIN YARDS FOR THAT GOAL. Ovver egg what he did ? F'ck me, what did anyone else do prior to the equalisier you mad man Prior to that we had created f'ck all, did not look like creating f'ck all and where second best heading for a defeat due to another set of dubious tactics
-
You are talking sh'te, seriously. Absolute f'ckin drivel
-
B'ollocks Gerrard is the best f'ckin central midfielder on the planet you gang of loons, honestly. What the f'ck are you lot drinking. Talking about all round players and then mentioning fabregas and ronaldo, f'ck off eh. 'Stevie' dragged us back into the f'ckin derby we where on our way to losing ffs. Oh I give up, I am gonna end up getting banned again or getting an ulcer
-
He was making some sort of stupid f'ckin personal point, just like he is doing with crouch It was not just lucky lad, it was very lucky. The tactics where a f'ckin mess AGAIN with voronin wide and kuyt on his own, he has NEVER played well on his own up front and we where struggling. Gerrard got us back into that game, not managerial tactical genuis. But then, against ten tiring men, he took his best attacking midfielder off and left momo and mascerano in central midfield, which meant we hardly created anything against a knackered ten men, in fact they created as much as we did. We also got off with at least one clear penalty AND should have been down to ten men ourselves. We won, in the end, in stoppage time against a team that had been playing with ten f'ckin men for 40 minutes in probably the most physically demanding game of the season which meant they where knackered. Dont give me all this tactical genuis b'ollocks, he was very lucky.

Just read all the updated posts on this thread and had time to think about it all and to be honest its winding me up even more now And It was a terrible decision by the manager and his comments to the press after the game where f'ckin scandalous to be honest. He is a scouse kid, captaining his team at goodison in the derby and taking abuse about his young children and had just dragged us back into the game and was the best midfielder on the park. He was f'ckin kicked in the b'ollocks by the manager, not once, but twice. On the pitch and in the press conference. Sissoko was playing f'ckin awful again, as he has done for months, levia should have come on for him. Mascerano wasnt exactly having a blinder either. But it was the comments by the manager after the game were what really wound me up. He was f'ckin wrong and we have every right to question him on this, just has he has been in quite a few games this season to be frank. He got very, very lucky at the weekend, it wasnt good judgement or tactical genuis, it was luck.

-
I got offered a fight on the way out the ground on four seperate times by evertonians. Grown men, all at least 40 years old Hilarious, really is. They are all f'ckin loons
-
We were lucky to win on Saturday mate, very lucky. The f'ckin rabid hysteria on here when chelsea got that pen at anfield, the ref on Saturday was disgracefully biased in our favour. Gerrard dragged us back into that match, and was rewarded with being dragged off and the criticised by the manager who's fault it was we where being outplayed due to dubious tactics. Voronin wide ? Kuyt on his own up front, a role he has NEVER, EVER played well. We have been playing sh'te since we beat derby 6-0 now to be brutally honest and I hope that was some sort of turning point and we can get agger, alonso and torres back
-
Gerrard was the best out of the three central midfielders and had just ran 70 yards to drag us back into a game we where second best in due to dubious tactics with voronin having a mare on the 'wing' If he wanted to make a point in public about how he wanted his players to perform he should have dragged sissoko off and then in the press conference stated he had not passed a ball to a Liverpool player consistently for three months so he took him off for levia who could keep the ball better. It was a terrible substitution, everton where absolutely knackered the last 20 minutes and we would have won that game comfortably if levia had come on for sissoko instead. But again, the sub itself is not what upset me, its the comments to the press after it, they where wrong
-
Lucas did well when he came on, he put voronin clean through and won the penalty however it was still a ludicrous decision to take gerrard off and then publicly criticise him for not being able to keep the ball in the after match interview when sissoko has not passed to a Liverpool player three times on the run during a game for three months and was having another absolute nightmare. Sissoko was not playing with passion or composure We got out of jail big time on Saturday and were very, very lucky to win that match. Kuyt should have been sent off and they should have had a penalty at the end. Apart from the first ten minutes everton where the better team. Gerrard dragged us back into that match from being second best and deserved better than what he got and he is well within his rights to be very upset with the manager. Bad decision and even worse press comments, I don't care if we won or not.

I dont think he will be rested on saturday, I am just a bit worried about him getting injured, I was also reading an article on the artificial pitches yesterday where players where talking about being really, really sore for three days after playing on them I dont think alonso will be fit enough to play saturday, it is to heavy a game to rush someone back for
