Overall, what we were crying out for since G&H left - above all else - was not immediate transfers (impossible anyway) but leadership. Has that happened? No. Theyve stuck with an imposter of a manager and have even sang 'we don't know what we're doing'. They didnt even need fans to sing it to them. ON a more positive note, I am hoping beyond hope that this is all stage managed to prevent other clubs from inflating asking prices in January. If so, they've played a clever game in the press. This doesnt address the manager's position though. Until we see sustained and actual progress, we should retain the once bitten, twice shy mentality. Well, in my opinion anyway.

a) See the bigger picture, and b) Don't misread what I am saying There Dalglish deal would need to be packaged in a careful way as we risk damaging our view of the past and/or a club legend if it goes wrong. Make no mistake that lots of our fans would turn on Dalglish if things didnt go well after being appointed as manager proper. Lots of them arent even old enough to remember him play or manage. If he comes in and things change hugely, he could fluidly and quietly sign a contract to manage us long term. If it doesnt go so well or a more appropriate manager comes along, he could easily step back into an ambassadorial role with his head held high. It's a win win and Kenny would no doubt see the strategy in it. We risk a lot more than another failed manager than 'backing' him up front.

Because 'we' are fickle and accusing and spoilt. However, if we know that Kenny is only the manager until one is found, I believe we would view him as having done us a favour rather than someone responsible for screwing up - that's in the worst case scenario. As Ive said before, it's all about how any Kenny deal is packaged and sold. It's not difficult to do - McDonald's, for example, have convinced the world they sell food.

That's so ironic, it's amazing. 'Sonny'. We don't have to accept anything. If we as a fanbase have the balls to come together and vote with our pound, any owners will know to tow the line.

It's all about how the Kenny situation is handled. I agree that he shouldnt be put in the firing line as it would ruin our perspective of the past if things screw up under his tenure. And lets face it, the past is the only tense which looks positive at the minute so it perhaps needs to be preserved. However, if the owners and Kenny market it as a temporary measure, after which, Kenny will return to his previous post, it should protect Kenny and the club somewhat from the sharks. Kenny is a very good, and realistic, proposition at the minute. I imagine it would bring about a 'Return of the King' aura at the club and lets face it, 90% of football is all in the head. It makes perfect sense. Package this correctly and we'll protect our present as well as the club's (and Kenny's) future.

Listen, I know I'm gonna be pulled up for bursting people's bubbles re NESV. However, just like G&H's stadium pictures, NESV have offered hope but delivered nothing. YET Open your eyes guys. Maybe they'll prove themselves but this club, of all clubs, should beware false dawns. I hope I'm wrong but the evidence so far suggests not.
