  1. Maybe we all need to tweet John Henry en masse? He obviously doesnt read the fans' view on forums.
  2. Even if a new manager comes in and changes things dramatically, I think the G&H issues along with Hodgson's tactics have cost us Torres. Good luck to NESV if they plan on marketing Carlton Cole shirts to the Far East.
  3. Just read this on Facebook: 'Close the door on your way out Fernando, maybe you'll break a sweat for your new club!!' How depressing. If Hodgson costs us Reina aswell, I think I'll just hang myself.
  4. Just tweeted John W Henry with my thoughts. f***
  5. And a lot of good players at a top club.
  6. Why would he? Rafa was a threat to Sky/Premier League's flagship, sponsored team. Hodgson isnt and never will be. It suits them all.
  7. The trouble with 'The Liverpool Way' is that nobody can properly define it. Therefore apologists and weak fans will beat us with the TLW stick when they wont allow an obviously terrible player or manager to 'Walk Alone'. One thing is for sure though, The Liverpool Way was never about accepting mediocrity.
  8. Couldnt agree more.
  9. What's being chanted? Well in Glen Johnson!!!
  10. It's like watching Mohammed Ali with Parkinson's disease. Tragic fall of a giant.
  11. Where are you from, mars?
  12. We're all disillusioned but we don't have the luxury of walking away. Also, WE are paying this man millions to play like this.
  13. Just spotted some face rubbing.
  14. Torres needs a good f***in boot in the a***. Started to believe his own hype and now he's playing like he's too good for us. He's a far cry from the hungry layer that arrived wanting to prove he was Liverpool quality. As good as his natural talent may be, I just cant connect with a player who doesn't see putting the effort in for Liverpool Football Club as being worthwhile.
  15. Any good working sopcast links folks? Thanks
  16. I like to look at the Red Sox and dream a bit too but so far, they have done nothing here (lets hope that changes though). The problem is that NESV and Hodgson have set certain expectations with comments such as 'being successful on and off the pitch' and 'only buying players who will improve things'. If we do buy the Carlton Cole's of this world (which is unlikely) then NESV have pretty much done a Hicks and Gillett by showing us pretty pictures but delivering nothing. Their next signing/s will show their intent to a degree so lets hope it's good.
  17. That almost sounds as though you think you have 'credentials' yourself. You seriously need to get your ego in check.
  18. If such players are signed, I'm voting with my pound and hopeothers do the same. I am tired of funding the lavish lifestyles of mediocre millionaires with not even an ounce of excitement or achievement to show for it. We've done the bad owners bit and I don't intend to do it again.
  19. I acknowledge 100% that I'll sound like I have my paranoid head on but is this perhaps part of the NESV strategy so they don't have to spend in January? Unless NESV are trying to prevent inflated asking prices and are going to shock us all with a big signing or two, it really sounds as if they don't want to spend in January at all.
  20. This is, without doubt, my favouite LFC forum to read. However, most of the discussion lately has centred around David Hodgson as opposed to Roy Hodgson. Do you really need to hog so many pixels on here? Don't get me wrong, you seem like a decent enough guy but f*** me you do go on. Fully agreed. They may well prove to be world class in relation to LFC (lets leaves the Sox out of it for the meantime) but theyve done nothing but worry me so far. Initially, they talked about success off the pitch and success on the pitch being mutually fulfilling. This encouraged me. Lately however, they seem to have backtracked with comments such as 'lets see what we can do with Anfield', 'January isn't the right time' and, of course, leaving Hodgson in place. At the minute, NESV have shown us their version of the pretty pictures of the new stadium but little else. I, more than anything, HOPE I AM WRONG, but there's nothing to suggest they are good owners in relation to LFC as yet.
  21. You could be right Dus. I'm just working on the assumption that they talked about both statistical analysis and success on the pitch. Mainly though, I was answering the question put to the forum. As you rightly say though, there's loads of media hype on lots of issues.
  22. You raise an excellent issue here. If NESV were genuinely onto a good model with this statistical analysis, then why tell the rest of the world? If there's something in it, then everyone will do it and everyone is back on a level playing field. No advantage us whatsoever. All this money ball talk, Roy remaining in charge and their chants of 'January not being the right time' makes me uneasy to say the least. Now, if they are playing a clever game to prevent inflated asking prices and land a big target in January, I'll happily change my mind. However, I don't think they'll invest in us like they did in the Red Sox.
  23. If the approach is used on young top quality targets like Aguero then maybe. If it's simply a method to unearth unknown talent then no. Personally, I'm starting to think we've landed ourselves another bunch of bulls***ter owners. I know the summer is the big window but this one will tell us a lot about their intent.
  24. I'd take a gamble over the sure thing we have at the minute.
