Same record as us over the last 6 league games - i just felt they were a much better team than earlier in the season and the return of Essien moved them up a level.

I think Chelsea were the form team at the close of last season - a change of manager may well give them the drive to have a good start. Man United will be there - we'll have to be our very best in order to get even close. Glass is always half-empty for me - we're good but any complacency and we'll be 3rd/4th again.

Think you're spot on. I am in the camp of "keep Xabi at all costs" so don't really understand Rafa's preference for Mascherano as a more valuable asset.
