Ronaldinho will allegedly be shipped out of Barcelona this summer. I read that Milan are interested and then heard on the radio that Man City are gonna be in for him too... Question is, should we be tempted? Could play him off the front man, with Gerrard shifted to the right or alternatively, Babel could come across to the right with Ronaldinho playing as a left sided forward. Word is, he'd cost in the region of £12m. There's the question of whether he'd adapt to the pace and physical nature of the Premier League, and it's a valid point, but there's just something about the prospect which really wets the appetite IMO... What say you? Worth a punt?

Thing is though mate, £8m isnt really a lot these days. You say it'd be a risk to pay more, but most of the time, a top player is gonna cost the best part of £20m. £10m on Bentley wouldnt be THAT risky IMO.

As has been said, Pepe's mental strength is sound and he's made mistakes before and bounced back as if nothing had happened. No worries about Reina whatsoever, he's top class and we're lucky to have him. £6m for a long term solution to one of the most key positions - one of the bargains of the century IMO.

With the 4231 formation, it makes sense to have another CM - 2 players for each position and all that malarky. So Alonso, Mascherano, Lucas and the Red la...

Because none of the other positions are really up for grabs when everyone's fit, the rest of the side picks itself more or less. So Bentley could be a decent shout, although i'd be surprised if Blackburn would agree to sell him for anything other than silly money.

Would you say so? Not sure i'd agree - once again i point to title chasing and CL-qualification always being a big motivator. If we were two sides regularly finishing 9th and 11th then yeah, you'd have a point, but there's always something important to play for when we face you, purely because both clubs are virtually always still chasing one mission or another, towards the end of the season.

Definitely a different Chelsea now, although as you found out the other weekend, they're hardly a side you'd just dismiss. In any case, one game at a time for me, i'm not thinking about Chelsea or Moscow until and if it actually becomes relevant.
