    He was a major brexit supporter. Decided to build a British car for the brits to show how good brexit was goign to be but then moved it to France. Car has taken years and is going to be a colossal failure. Basically, he'll say what you want to hear and then do what he wants and waste loads of money in the process. Sounds perfect for football.

    Yep, accept that. No better illustration than last season. Probably aggregate best performance 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd out of 100’s of teams in all competitions but widely viewed as failure now because we were only 2nd in the two hardest ones. Nonetheless, i just don’t accept that the two we won were both close and could have gone either way, without the same applying to the two we lost and, based on that, i don’t accept we are miles off months later.

    If there was anything to lipread, wouldn’t it be all over the media? Its going to be unproven, ones word against another and because Jordan is a nice lad, he won’t be smeared by it.

    And we are still a team that needs refreshing, especially in midfield. So, yes, it’s annoying but i don't think its the massive breakdown that some are portraying.

    Courtois was 10/10 and the Villa lad a plucky 6. Spin them around and we win the quadruple and actually are the greatest team ever. As always, fine margins amongst the elite and I anticipate a similar marginal gain to get us back competing. This isn't quite the doom being portrayed but i guess, for some, you are either winners or losers with nothing in between.

    We are poor right now but only 5 months ago 2 keeper performances separated us from winning everything. Laughable to say we were nowhere near Madrid in that game.

    Good or great. Its a s*** show anyway. Henderson is entering past it territory too. It seems that unless a club is raiding our squad as in years gone, we don’t know when to let a decent player go for the best of the squad. Midfield is either too old, too young or too rubbish!

    Jesus. Gomez at RB because he can defend and Trent receiving the ball where Henderson keeps getting it because he has vision.

    Cant see why Gomes at RB and Trent in midfield can’t be a go to for the moment.

    He so far ahead of where Messi and C.Ronaldo were after 100 games. They grew to a peak whereas I bet he’s already at his. Bit like the real Ronaldo - amazing when he was young but never quite as good later on. well, here’s hoping anyway.

    Haaland will get injured and his peak will be in his early 20’s. He will not smash all records in the manner of his current trajectory. Just wont happen.
