  1. Here's the compilation I was talking about, it takes a while to load, think it's about 30mb. For those who thought the second goal on the clip above was special, you haven't seen anything yet. Theo who? http://www.youtube.com/?v=UPkI3FMM0HA While we're on the subject of phenomenal talents, this is Anderson, the lad they're talking about as the next Ronaldinho, he has just signed for Porto and was voted player of the tournament in the recent u17 World Cup http://www.youtube.com/?v=CYgdCtaQomg and a few Freddy Adu clips for those who haven't seen him play. http://www.youtube.com/?v=OFpEkmf6oTg http://www.youtube.com/?v=njn-s3cnSq0 http://www.youtube.com/?v=XefzzD8NsGc
  2. He's really easy to defend against, just feign to press him then drop off 5 yards and he'll try and knock it past you.
  3. I think most people are like that now, I'm not angry at him, he just seems a bit thick to me and he sticks out a mile for that reason, he just seems unable to come to terms with what Rafa wants from him. I reckon he'll go to a smaller team and score a load of goals cos he obviously has it in him, he just lacks the nous to play Rafa's type of football. I agree with you, I think I just articulated my previous point poorly. I meant that anyone watching Cisse at Auxerre would have thought the same thing, that he was phenomenal, because he was, he scored a ridiculous amount of goals, but he did so at the expense of other areas of the team. At the time of signing he was being courted by nearly every top club in Europe and £14m was about the market value. We pulled off a coup in signing him, it just hasn't worked out though. He'll never fit into what Rafa wants, he's good at what he does, which is running onto through balls, but we don't play that way and he can't adapt. He seems like a nice guy, but the longer he's here the more I wonder if he's a bit slow in the head.

  5. The benefit of hindsight, Cisse was unbelievably good at Auxerre. Their whole team was built around him though. He's not as bad as people are making out today, he's just limited in what he can do and he has almost no football intelligence.
  6. They do have the right, but Reebok are entitled to say no. From what I heard (can't remember where it was but I remember it was from someone believable) Reebok were afraid they wouldn't sell enough to justify another run of jerseys, would make a loss and be left with a pile of tops
  7. "Yeah they'll miss Ronaldo attacking wise alright, but they've still got good forwards like Ronaldo, Rooney and Ruud"

  9. Like I've said many times, the vast majority of the money we make from kits is the money Reebok pay us up front, anything after that is the profit margin we make on kits sold in our own shops. I don't think we get anything if JJB sells an LFC top. That's the way it works. I reckon Reebok probably gave us a couple of million for the right to make the CL kit, if they thought it was a risk to make more kits then that's their prerogative, it's bad for PR for them and the club, but we could do nothing about it really, apart from moving manufacturers of course.
  10. He's good alright, the fee is pretty steep though

  13. The Leverkusen one was a dead ball, dunno why he doesn't try more of them rather than the rolled one.

  15. Just scrap the stupid ambiguous "gentleman's agreement" and let them play football. Too many cheats are trying to con the other team now because of it, the only time the ball should be kicked out is if the injured player is in the way of play.
  16. I know I sound like a broken record, but Dirk Kuyt is ideal for us, I really hope we get him.

  18. Cos he was in the pub laughing at us...apparently (...according to some easily excitable poster on TLW)
  19. I dare you to call him Peruvian, he'd kill you where you stand...possibly with a stinging left foot free-kick.
  20. I'm not denying that, he was at fault for the goal. Still WAY too early to have any sort of opinion on him though.
  21. Leeds' situation is hardly comparable with ours, they imploded due to their overspending, if anything we have the opposite problem It was Andy Gray, he's right, but then everyone knew that already, pretty obvious comment
  22. Just for the record (this really annoys me and I know it shouldn't) It's not Gonzales, it's Gonzalez
  23. I'm sure he does, but the only positions we've been looking to strengthen that we've struggled with have been RM and CB and we were looking for something pretty specific, not just any RM or CB, but a RW with certain attributes (pace, the ability to beat people, score goals and cross well) and a CB who was good enough to challenge two of the best in Europe. The list for each of those roles probably isn't very long.
