  1. The main issue i have with Carrol (apart from the stupid fee) is that he is a headcase, absolute nutter and players like that can really damage morale.
  2. I honestly thought all the a*** and fingers type stuff was reserved for the takeover thread!
  3. Theu just showed all of Nandos goals against the chavs - gutted :(
  4. Lets hope not, Kenny made it very clear in the PC that he was not signed as a replacement but to strengthen the squad. The bid for Carrol would also back this up, they are looking for an out and out striker
  5. I have seen a number of games this season, I am not disputing he is a good player. But he is injured - they dont know the root cause, could be a long term problem? He has had half a good season...that doesnt merit 25/30million
  6. Surely if we are bidding 25mil for Carrol we should be after Lorente? Yep another reason not to buy him
  7. If true - its panic panic panic at LFC, there is no way he is worth that I would rather play NonGoals up front
  8. Agree re medical, I thought he was out for another month at least. Smokescreen?
  9. bensmith_Times 100% confirmed that #LFC did make a £30m bid for Andy Carroll this morning. Incredible
  10. We need to accept that hes gone - its depressing but thats what i am trying to do. That way if he stays then it will be a surpise but he will still go in the summer, may aswell try and get used to it now
  11. I have a feeling we are not going to get anyone else in bar possibly Adam, just not enough time
  12. Twitter: David Anderson MirrorAnderson Looks like Liverpool have accepted Chelsea's £50m bid for Torres.
  13. Kenny looked pretty angry at the PC imo, wasnt in the best of moods
  14. LOL thats pretty much how they are, plus they also add: @clueless_muppet player is from the EU, you will be amazed, cant say much more yet...more later
  15. I think there would be offers in the summer, after all Chelsea are in for him now and have already had offers for Aguero and the like rebuffed. They too have limited time to bring in a replacement so would come calling in the summer...I expect we may have got other teams interested too, though i agree there arent many that could afford him or his wages.
  16. There are a couple of angles here, I dont think we are all going to agree...maybe just to disagree tbh I think its clear that he is going, if he was going to stay it would have already happened imo...what are the odds on us getting a direct replacement? I think low, though I am sure there will be plenty of twitter bulls*** stating otherwise. So do we look for a stop gap (please not Kevin Davies as suggested by someone!) and then someone in the Summer or go all out now and get the other Torres or similar?
  17. Yes Kidding I wasnt expecting a Man City style spending spree by any means, but I did want to see positive action taken sooner especially re RFH. We were all crying out for it sooner imo
  18. Apologies that was lost to me mid rant, but did those 12 weeks (thanks for the clarification) felt like an eternity and we did drop a huge amount of points.
  19. I agree, with the purchases made by the old regime or the C*ck anyone could see our squad was too weak to challenge, but the way the pl is we would be around 4/5 i would think even with some bad results. Not where we want to be but at least that may have given some hope in that we would be in the CL next season and a couple of transfer windows would see the squad strengthened.
  20. Exactly, we all want to love the new owners and what they have done...how did we all feel when week after week we could see that RFH was out of his depth...every week, f*** it everyday we were hoping he would be sacked. Yet for months on end he was there, slowly destroying our season and reverting us to a type of football that would have made even Wimbledon look away in disgust. Even during Roys tenure there were alot of rumours about squad discontent and player meetings with the owners etc...even then it took them close to 6 months to sack him, our results were shocking, our performances were shocking and Torres was islotated feeding off long balls and scraps...all the while the owners are telling you its going to improve, dont worry we are working on this...blah blah...i think its only natural that you would get hacked off and start to have doubts. Torres had already seen that for years under the two cancers, so why would he trust FSG? We would all give them the benefit of the doubt, understand the long term plan (but we arent professional footballers) and what it requires to get us back to where we want to be. I know Torres is destroying (or has already destroyed) our connection with him as a resulf of his actions, I am personally am at a point where he can f*** off for all i care, but our owners cannot be seen as blameless in this they played there part.
  21. I agree, his behaviour and form this season (prior to the last 3-4 weeks) has been terrible. But he wasnt the only one, especially towards the end of RFH tenure. I dont want to turn this into a RFH thread (we had enough of those!) but I definitely think this situation could have been avoided. I know its wrong to apportion all of the blame on FSG as the previous owners and the C*ck have played a huge part in it too (if not the majority). I also am with you on the way in which this has happened, Torres knew what he was doing when he handed in the TR...i dont buy for a single minute all this agent bulls*** and its part of the reason I am so disappointed and angry. But i cant get away from the fact that if FSG had acted with conviction sooner this situation could have been saved, Torres still may have left at the end of the season (alot of us expected it to happen anyways) but at least we wouldnt be in such a bad situation now. I guess also harbour the same hopes (no matter how slim) that with 6 months or longer under Kenny (or another) he may have changed his mind.
  22. You think so, I am sure Torres is a playing a big role in this...but do you think if we were challenging for the top 4 or by some stretch of the imagination challenging for the PL, he would be pushing to leave quite so much? I dont think so, and whats even more annoying with the state of the league this season and anyone other than RFH we would have been up there imo. If Roy had been sacked post Everton (like he should have) I would say we would be maybe 12 points better off if not more?
  23. Exactly I am seriously f***ed off with FSG - there dithering over RFH has been a major factor in this Make no mistake, a happy motivated Torres will rip most defences to shreds...including ours especially skittles in there atm
  24. Even then we are probably paying them! Also, i think Young is a good option...has stagnated for a season or so but I think he would do well. Direct, pacy ball carrier now we just need someone who can lead the attack
