Talk about bloody s*** stirring. I suppose they want to secretly sell Torres aswell.
-
Anyone recall Rafa's comments about 2-3 weeks ago, when asked about his future? He said, "I was just talking to Fernando's agent........." He then went on to reiterate he was staying at the club, after being asked by Fernando's agent about his long term future. Thought this was a bit strange following several quotes from Torres about him having no intention of leaving the club, maybe its another possible incoming player (sharing the same agent) asking about rafa's future if he signs. A quick check reveals Torres agent (Jose Antonio Martin) also represents Crespo. Think he is also a friend of Balague. 2+2=9

Does anyone have a link that works for the picture, or could someone repost it.

Not much chance of winning it now, a certain Mr. Scott has registered. Bloody cheat!

Just thought I'd bump it so we can get a few more signed up. League: proc-rafa password: liverpool

No doubting that, just about every player at West Ham had an awful season. Benayoun is not the solution to all our problems but we are letting go or have let go Zenden, Garcia and Gonzales. At the moment we only have Gerrard as a player who will get goals from the wings. As for Kewell it remains to be seen whether he will stay fit for the season. Pennant improved a hell of a lot while the season went on but his shooting abilities bring the words elephants a*** and banjo to mind. We need at least one top class winger who can score goals, we also need decent cover options and Benayoun fits the bill for the latter.

If you watch any clips of Quaresma he hardly uses his left foot at all. He doesn't cross or shoot with it and most of his dribbling is done with the inside and outside of his right. The point of the post is if Benayoun was playing in a foreign league and not in a side struggling and full of crap players, people would be saying what a great player he was after watching a couple of youtubes.
-
If Benny Hoon was portugese and his club wanted £15 mil for him everyone would be creaming their knickers and posting PLTBT's left right and center. At least he can kick, shoot and control the ball with both feet, unlike Quaresma. Also, he looks like he can play football, rather than just showboat. Don't forget Masch didn't look fantastic in his West Ham time either.
-
Quaresma looks very, very one footed in all the clips, he doesn't even use his left to control the ball. Mancini on the other hand looks comfortable with both feet. Riise and Kuyts one-footedness is bad enough without adding another to the team.

Don't give a f*** what the a******s on here are saying, he was my favourite player (without being our best player) in the last couple of years. We will miss his ability as much as his smile and commitment when he played. Good luck fella, pity you didn't get the send off you deserved.

Can't believe we missed out on Henry Gone

Goal stats are nowt to go on. Remember 3 years ago everyone buying 'carnage' t-shirts and laughin at Chelsea for paying 12 million more for Drogba than Cisse, when Cisse had been the top french score since he was two years old. I also remember people laughin at placcy Ronaldo for 12 million. Torres, if signed is young enough and good enough to adapt, he would mature along with the likes of Mascherano and Alonso into a World class player, given the time.
-
Yeah, lets swop Garcia for Cheyrou while we are at it, we might need him against Lazio in the qualifiers! (do we have any re.tard smileys?)
-
Isn't Tevez in argentina at the moment with his agent/owner/boyfriend?
-
Loan?? That will be at least 5 years MSI have owned him for then. Surely he is only contracted to a certain number of years with them, same as a player at a normal club. They can't own him for life can they?????
-
Its not a question of value for money, its about getting the right player. If Rafa thinks Tevez or whoever is the man who is going to put us on course for no.19, then quit fannying around and stump up the cash for him. Third or fourth choices will see us finnishing third or fourth again.

If it was photoshop its incredibly well done, apparently the bus is aways pre-painted. Looks very genuine, I'm only describing what I have seen (on someones phone). Don't remember the last two parade buses being normal, both had graphics on. Not seen Sky sports news, this picture has all the players in big graphics hugging underneath writing saying 'Champions League winners 2007' down the side with a large crest with 6 stars, three up each side in a diagonal. May well be a photoshop job, but still a bad mockerer!!!
-
Christ on his f**kin bike I've just been shown the king of all mockers, a lad in work has been sent a picture of the homecoming bus already painted up for the homecoming, with Champions league Winners 2007 on it (the liverpool badge has three stars up each side in a 'v' formation). My boss is wondering why I'm now walkin around wearing a tinfoil hat!!

Anyone got the words for it? Cheers.

Nicked from the offal. Istanbul hero Vladimir Smicer believes Liverpool's 'awesome' supporters can help inspire the Reds to more European glory in Athens. Smicer will forever be regarded as an Anfield legend for the part he played in the Ataturk Stadium two years ago, when he netted the Reds' second goal against AC Milan and then calmly slotted home the fourth penalty in the shoot-out. Thousands of Liverpool fans will descend on the Greek capital over the coming days and Smicer is in no doubts they will have a massive part to play inside the Olympic Stadium. "Liverpool fans are always awesome," the 33 year old told uefa.com. "They are the key. At 3-0 down they were amazing in Istanbul. They lifted us so much. You know that Liverpool fans will be with the players. "The players know you are obligated to give the fans success because they crave it so much. They will make a lot of noise in Athens, for sure! It's the final and they will make it one to remember. The fans deserve it." Smicer spent six seasons at Anfield following a move from Lens in 1999 and although he accepts he wasn't always a favourite with the Kop, he is pleased to have played his role in helping secure a number of trophies for the club. "I am just happy to have been a Liverpool player. I had six great years and if the fans think I did a good job I feel proud. True Liverpool legends are the likes of Gerrard and Carragher. They are unbelievable! "I will remember the pride I felt playing for Liverpool. The fans sometimes did not like the way I played but I accepted it and still loved every minute of it. "Scoring the penalty [in Istanbul] was the biggest test of my whole career. It's easy to say no when you are asked by the manager but I wanted to prove my worth. I was 32 and wanted to show I wasn't afraid to take the responsibility. "I told Rafa I'd love to take one. I sent Dida the wrong way. I told Milan Baros I'd put it right, but Dida kept going left! Milan told me to stick with it and Dida went left again! "It was such an important goal for me. If I'd missed, my last game in a Liverpool shirt might have ended differently. The pressure was big. I felt so proud to score. It was easily the best day of my life. "My other favourite moments for Liverpool came in 2001 when we won five trophies. I played the full season and it was the year I played my best football for Liverpool that season. "Just signing for Liverpool in itself was a dream because I supported them as a kid. It was a dream come true. The year 2001 was my other highlight for sure but nothing will compare to that win in 2005." He added: "I'd love to be in Athens but we have a game that weekend so we might have training the next day. If we are guaranteed second place already I will ask the coach if I can go to Athens but if we still have something to play for, I will have to miss out. "But next year I will go to the final when Liverpool are in it again!"
